I would recommend people to grab curse updater to help update addons. Its fast and reliable. Wowace and other semi correct tools where cast out by the community, so make sure you use something that works and is supported.

I ended up buying the tool to support the authors and make the downloads faster, and i never regretted it

I refuse to give money to Curse when they have been the source of so many viral outbreaks in WoW.  I use the free version reluctantly for simplicity, but anyone who wants to install an updater and then tie it into my Startup folder immediately goes into my bad books.

Wowace was always a rogue application build on the wrong premises, allthough i agree that curse is probably a money machine.

I just need something that does the job, and support the authors and curse does indeed that

Wowace did the job for me for the longest time.  It never went wrong and it did just what it said on the tin.  Where it went awry was deep linking into other sites for the downloads. Oh and it was faster than Curse too.

BUt it was still a program that was exploited by hackers DONT USE IT :)

But when i had it it was awsome the first couple of weeks until it started to download wrong versions.
