What a fantastic nights racing :yahoo: - apart from the 2 idiots who were kicked and banned late on.
Most enjoyable, close, fair racing (despite the Bike having a pop at Il Papa) over the whole of the evening.
Maybe it was the lack of Vent that improved my concentration, not having to listen to the bull****
I'm still finding new lines to take on the last left-hander and  am still leaving huge gaps on the hairpin LHander at the end of the back straight.
Need to look into tyre temps (OSF) after 5 laps and check to see if they recover.
Hope tonight's session is as good :D

I would like to apologise to all for loosing my rag last night, but it was the the fourth time I had been taken out by this particular driver, by his blocking and weaving about.
I like to think that I drive clean and stick to a predictable line ( for the most part), if not please let me know, and advise neccassary changes.

PS. anyone know how I can change the name from King etc.

PPS Does anyone know if the Duck's got his new wheel yet.....

I think 'Dad' drives with a PSP  or X-box controller and this gives the impression of blocking etc. On the whole he's a fair driver. I think you are both on about the same pace, so you're more likely to rub wheels with each other.
By the way did I tell you about my new wheel? It's a Logitech G27 and it cost me 0.00 it's got.......... :getmecoat:

The forum admins can do that. What would you like to have as a forum name?

As usual, they do cool down again but not until half distance. At the end of 28 laps, the fronts are getting thin, so if you do overheat them again the tyre shows signs of blow-out. :g:

I have a nice set, gentle on tyres and not understeery. Tyres temp (front, isnside) max 72Ã,°C after 5 laps.
Only minor drawback is that I can not get under 2:10 with it :frusty:
Anyone interested?

Thanks for the offer Mille, but if it's one thing I've learnt about the one hour race is: Don't change your set-up at the last minute :)

Wow! What a race.
Qualified in 3rd place in a time that nearly equaled my PB, so I was content with that.
Race started well and everybody appeared to avoid a T1 mish-mash.
On the approach to T2 Dee appeared to go wide, so I took full advantage of his generosity and nipped into 2nd place behind pole-sitter Jamin.
For 20 mins or so I managed to stay on the pace but then had a nonsense on the grass. (Unforced error - people talking about a new wheel or somfinââ,¬â,,¢) and I lost 3 secs to Seany and Dee who were now putting the pressure on.
Sean got past me going into T1 on lap 11 and on the same corner next lap I changed down to 2nd a little early and hurt the motor. Adrian out dragged me to T1 on the next lap.
I pitted on L15 and after a few others had completed their pit-stops I was still 4th with a 15 sec lead on ââ,¬ËœSomebodyââ,¬â,,¢. Power started to leak away and the gap came down and down and had it been a 29 lap race he would have passed me but I squeezed in over a full second ahead. I think my highest finish ever.Chart says it all really.

Congrats to Ben for his first win and to Sean and Adrian to finishing on the podium.

My race as planned: could not get below 2:10 (quali 2:09.9X) at race pace (refused locked diffs again, silly principles).
However I was able to get 2:10-2:11 consistently all through the race, green tyres all the way.
I would have neded 15 more minutes to be competitive it seems...
I was closing on Somebody and Lameduck by the 50 minutes mark, but overshoot the chicane braking point trying to get a little bit closer... so I had to stop that and keep my 6th place.

Overall interseting start (sorry again Slider46), boring mid race and the usual adrenaline-->pushing too much-->gravel trap in the end.

Jamin

I put in a good lap in quali and waited for someone to better it but despite Sean and Dee putting in a last minute mad lap I stayed on pole for the race :D

At race start I managed to keep Dee behind me into the first chicane, 1st problem sorted :D. Bob managed to get past Sean and started to gain in some places, my plan was to be consistent, save my tyres and NOT go off so I wasn't that worried about Bob as if he caught up he would have to get past which would make him twitchy and go off. Some time around lap 8/10 Bob dropped back and off my radar. I had about ten secs lead over Sean/Dee when I lost concentration when discussing next weeks combo and drifted wide into the long left hander onto the grass, I eased the car back onto the track loosing about four seconds :ranting2:

Sean pitted just after halfway and I tried to keep the gap to 22 secs but at my usual time to pit with five mins to go it was down to 18 secs, I dived into the pits watching my speed and came out with Sean bearing down on me into the first corner, I gritted my teeth "sh*t or bust" I thought, both of us are going into this corner but only one of us is coming out....that one was me :D I kept it cool for the last two laps knowing Sean would pull out all the stops to try and get past, but I crossed the line first :yahoo:

Seany

Aye 'twas a good race. Made a mistake early on and had lost a few places then clawed my way back up the grid, some nice racing with Bob and Dee along the way.  Pitted halfway then put in some good laps to gain on Ben.

It came down to that 1st chicane as Ben left the pits.  I didn't have the balls to risk it, visions of tumbling cars and Dee slider on the top step :), so I fumbled my way through the corner and came in 2nd.

I think even if I had of got past into that turn, Ben would have got ahead any way, my last lap was probably my worst of the race  :D

Well done Jamin!

Bob the Bike

Well done Jamin.

Had a fairly quiet race after the first couple of laps.  Got some damage after Seany lost it on the last turn. and I ran up his Bum!!

Pitted.  Set off again chasing Il papa and That well known Rossi fan.

Passed Dad, then 46 was unlucky and timed out.  Both right hand tyres blew with about a lap left and I had a devil of a job getting to the pits and back out to stay in front of Dad

Enjoyed
