Cracking Race!, full of action :yahoo: beats the last one hands down!

Got to love Alsono's response to his team engineer who told him Hamilton was only 3.5 behind him: "Okay, I don't want to know" :roflmao:

I think Hamilton needs to grow up a little though

Next race only one week away too :yahoo:

Aye Hami's comments to his race enigineer towards the end of the race were not needed, but you can understand his frustration somewhat.  He drove brilliantly and just got stuck behind other drivers and there's not a lot you can do with the aero turbulence  you get into these days when close behind another competitive car.

I'm less than impressed with Webber though who has once again shown that whilst he is usually a gentleman when he is under pressure and it goes wrong for him that he gets the 'red mist' and fails to drive sensibly.  He had several 'moments' during the race including almost taking off Hamilton earlier in the race when his stubborn refusal to give up the place lead to him almost taking out Hamilton as he had out-braked himself by such a large margin.   Webber's race was almost completely covered by his red mist which he caused for himself at the start.

Glad Massa beat Alonso, I think it is needed to give Massa & Ferrari an emotional lift after last season's almost fatal accident.

Full praise to Button though, a stunning call on the slicks and wow what a drive to look after the tyres and keep pounding in those fantastic times.  All hail Button!

Worst moments of the race, watching mobile chicanes being rolled around the circuit.  Some of the new teams were slow enough that I think they qualified as a circuit obtstacle not as a racing car.  I seriously hope they find some speed soon to get closer to what the mid-runner teams are doing.

News:

"Sebastian Vettel has escaped a penalty for overtaking backmarker Jarno Trulli under yellow flags in the closing stages of the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The Red Bull Racing driver was leading comfortably two laps from home when he came up to lap the slowing Lotus at Turn 4 - just as the yellow flags were out for Fernando Alonso's stranded Ferrari.

Vettel overtook the Lotus on the inside of Turn 4 ââ,¬â€œa move which was in breach of the regulations that bans car from overtaking each other when yellow flags are out.

The stewards spoke to Vettel after the race and, after also viewing video and telemetry data, they decided that since he had made 'a large reduction in speed through the yellow flag area and that he understood that Car 18 was slowing with an obvious problem' it was decided that no penalty would be applied.

Former grand prix driver Johnny Herbert was acting as the drivers' advisor on the stewards panel in Malaysia."

Good old Johnny Herbert, Common Sense prevails for once! :yahoo:

He also saved Hamilton's butt when he though that he was playing playstation in mid race.

Love the way he still tries to steer to avoid the barrier :D

Video might not be available outside UK.

I thought they had a system that stopped the wheels flying off after an accident? I suppose the anchor points disintegrated as well.
One lucky guy :D

For those outside of the UK who can't see the video on the BBC page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQZrmBoRjKY

This is funny and terrifying at the same time. Good thing none get hit by those wheels.

Noooooooeeez, Hammilton leading Q1 and Q2 and then slows down in Q3 and comes 6th :'(  Hope He'll advance top rank tomorow though, that will soften the pain.

I rather enjoyed the more 'elbows out' aggressive tone of this race

Cracking game, thoroughly enjoyed it!

If they are going to give penalties to Vettel and/or Hamilton then they might as well ban humans from entering the F1 championships and replace them with computers ...

I don't know, I thought some of Hamilton's moves were questionable to say the least :g:

Very enjoyable race, indeed. More of the same please!
