BBC2 Beta Problems

I cancelled my order with Amazon (delivery on 9-11th:blink:) and purchased BBC2 via steam.

after downloading I ran the game (beta).
An error message came up "unable to find bin\steamservice.exe" but the game started and I set my screen res and changed the melee key etc.
I tried to join a server but it couldn't connect to EA servers, it couldn't connect for any of the other services either.
So I closed the game and restarted steam.
Steam failed to start.
I tried the BBC2 desktop icon but get the error message.
So now I can't run steam or BBC2:angry:
I can see the Steamservice.exe in explorer, so I know it's there.
I pointed BBC2 at it when prompted but it just won't have it:g:
I'm off to google a solution before I try a system restore.
In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions...

Steam seems to be having a few problems.  Try a reinstall of steam just over the top.  Dont uninstall or you will loose everything.
