I have heard that the iphone version only syncs selected files... I hope this syncs all! They claim now, that it should work with "all versions" of android, so us 1.5-users should be able to use it (but maybe we get 2.1 on April 16th, so...)

Very nice. I'm using the Dropbox web site on the Android browser. It works but doesn't look to be as cool as this.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Precisely the same I do. Crap because the up/download and general syncro is manual. It is more like a web-interface to your files atm.

Dropbox is now live in the market - it's free and works with 1.5 :D

Nice although you cannot upload files (other than photo's) to your Dropbox, as far as I can work out. You certainly have full access to them though which is great.

Well, except text and video files, you are right. I doubt I will do much other than that from my phone though.

What I am frustrated with is the lack of "store on phone/offline" function per file, which the Iphone app has. I am already tired of poor phone net connection slowing the use of it. On Wifi it is great and on HSDPA it is slow... booh...

Point taken. I thought the application would sync my Dropbox files to my SD card. Although I can understand a premium Dropbox account and a small Sd card would be tricky to make work :)

I have Premium 50GB. What they did on the Iphone is that they allowed you to hand-pick files for offline storage. That way, I could get the important stuff when on the go with me. If only it would do that on Android...

Edit: for example, if you need to see through a picture folder when on the go - you ahve to download the whole stuff, one by one. Or if you need a certain document... that is a PITA and borderline useless.

After some forum reading, this seems to be an early release. Features will come. There is also an unoffical work-around for uploading all types of files.

I have been using Dropbox for a while now and am in need of more storage.  Referrals generate an extra 250MB for the referrer, so if you like the sound of Dropbox (and therefore need to set up a dropbox account) then please use this link to open your account!  My storage space will thank you!

Thanks Boon, it's not showing yet on my storage limit but I'll keep an eye on it!  Thanks :)

Used link, should be another 250mb on the way :)

Thanks DA, one increment popped up this afternoon, so I am guessing it takes a while for the database to update and then increase storage limits.  Thanks again though :)

Boon can you send me the email addie you used to register please?  I am not seeing your one on my dropbox account (DA's appeared yesterday afternoon and I just realised I can see the email account used under my 'Referral Status' so identified it as his not yours).

Thanks.

And additional thanks to anyone else who uses the link to register and give me a bit more storage space!
