Another error strewn performance
After pulling me plums out for a qualifying lap that was nano-seconds from my PB, I negated my 4th position on the grid by pouring myself a beer as the grid formed up, so I ended up at the back
Steve kindly let me pass, and I overtook Somebody in the first esses, so I  tucked in behind The Bike. Seany had an off and rejoined behind me. Bob's wheel went tits up just before the last chicane allowing Seany and I to pursue Ben.
Sean got past me when I ran wide at the tight left-hander at the end of the back straight and he rapidly closed the gap on Ben with me being towed along until I failed to change down enough and I thumped the castle wall damaging the front and rear suspension. :ranting2:
I carried on for a time but was dropping 5-6 secs a lap so decided to pit and repair and although the tyres were OK I decided to change them also. Cost: 30 secs.
Sean had overtaken Ben and I was almost a minute behind him. I was doing fast circuits and closed the gap to some 40+ secs and then hit some loosened tyres at the last chicane and did a 360 which cost me the 10 secs or so that I had made up. Damn, booger and blast the feller who was the guilty party. Back to square one. :taz:
Spent the rest of the race without much enthusiasm as I had no chance of catching "My tyres don't last more than 3 laps Ben" and there was no threat from the rear although Slider46 had now got the hang of the car and was popping in PB's.
Well done to the winner Manny, Deetz and Deeslider for their podiums and well done to Sean who was only 1.5 secs behind Adrian in 4th. A great recovery.
Once again, a very enjoyable combo - so why we had so few on the grid I don't know.

Jamin

Not one of my fav combo's, I'm not keen on fern bay and I hate cars that burn up the tyres.

I quali'd at the back half and trundled around for an hour with no FF*, nursing tyres that get hot when the car is moving  to finish fifth.

*I thought ctrl+c had reset the FF but it hadn't, I tried a few times but it didn't turn on the FF, I cursed the Logitec software and soldiered on. After leaving the server and removing the wheel from the desk, I went to unplug the power lead and found it already unplugged

Deetz

Well I really enjoyed this combo; it was just a pity that it was so easy to overheat the tyres.

A decent qually meant I was 2nd behind Manny. I got an ok start and the pressure was eased a bit when Sean had an off. Wanting to preserve the tyres meant that I dare not even attempt to keep up with Manny, (not that I could even if I had wanted too) but I was able to slowly ease away from DeeSlider early on with the heavy fuel load.

A fairly uneventful race, except with about 15 minutes to go I spun, putting the car into the barriers, doing a bit of a job on the left rear suspension. I took a few laps to get used to, while DeeSlider and Sean where closing in.

Thankfully I managed to settle into a rhythm were I wasn't loosing too much time, and held on to finish second.

Onwards and upwards. :D

Seany

Qualified 3rd ahead of Dee and behind Deetz.  Unfortunately I got a bit too excited with the throttle on turn 3 and spun out. Gathered myself back together and rejoined the end of the field.  Over the next few laps I carved my way back through the field, having some nice little jousts along the way :) .  I had thought I had gone as far a I could, back to fourth place, when I found a sliding Dee Slider and got up to third.  Deetz and Manny where well gone by this stage.

Towards the half way point I had an off at the same place Dee had and we swapped position once more, back to fourth.  I decided to pit the and came out on my own, trying to put in some good laps to be on Dee's tail when he made his stop.  It worked and for the last 20 minutes or so we where pretty close, with the gap shrinking and growing every lap.  However I just couldn't maintain a good enough pace to attempt any kind of pass.

Finished fourth

Great race and Well done to Manny, Deetz and Dee!
