BC2 Night - Do your Best to Turn Out Early..

I'd like that every Friday we all make an effort to get the server going and make sure we welcome the dMw members that make the effort to come out.

We've got to continue to grow the user base and we can do that by makeing folks feel welcome on our server.

Almost forgot.. What do you guys think about "dMw Versus the World" on Fridays?

Once we get the server going, Admins can move people across into one side and keep them there.. We could also say that on Friday's (unless we're in SDM) that staying in the same channel on TS3 is acceptable.

Good Banter, Good Games. Us versus the World. Heck.. we could even put a server message in the rotation about it..

I think it would be a lot of fun, and I think we should have a go at it.

But the down side would be we couldn't really promote our ways to the server, become more interactive with new players to our home etc.  

Maybe one night a month or a map or 2, but I don't think it should be a permanent us vs the world.

I like the idea and I dont think one night a week is too much, especially if we let the pubs know on the welcome message that is whats going on.

From this side of the fence I like it (see the L4D admins vs idea)......but the question is, as a pubby would you go and play on a server against a clan stack?

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Let me go into a bit of detail as to my reasons behind "dMw vs. the World"

   1. To encourage more dMw members to take up the game. - I've seen quite a few folks dip their toe into the BC2 water and not have a good time. If we're all on the same side I thought it might make it easier to get those that are new up to speed quicker and enjoy the dMw banter too.

2. To encourage more pubbies to join dMw. If they see that we're having a good time kicking their butts (might take a while to get our calibre up a bit ) then they might think they want to join that too.

I realise there is a slight downside as folks could say.. "you're just clan stacking it's not fair!!". My response would be (very politely): "It's only one night a week. Register at deadmen.co.uk and get in on the action."

After all, it's our server. Our members pay for it, not the publics.

I'd like to see the people from dMw give the game more than one round to get into the game. Many a time someones joined the game and not liked it because its not BF2. Yes, thats because its not BF2 and they will need to give it more of a chance than joining a game getting killed and then rage quitting. Its a brilliant game if they can really get into it.

I like the idea of the dMw vs the world. Wouldn't be very good if we only got a group of 5 dMw though

I'm not here this friday. World cup fever \o/ Going down to leicester to watch it with my mates so I'm AFK all night. Have fun though.

I'm doing some extra work on seeding other member servers of the MSG group that I've founded for the first couple of hours. Make sure you log into Wolfspawn and help our folks out.
