Server Seeding

When we seed the server successfully it seems to fill up quickly and then stay full for the rest of the night.  We had a good run of seeding and pushed our server up to about 84th percentile but have slipped back a little to 75th percentile due to a poor last week.  The numbers themselves are not particularly important, but it's a measure of how busy our server is - see the gametracker page for more info.

What I was thinking was of ressurecting an old idea from this section - a server seeding group.  We had looked at a different host to join up with a group there that seeded each others servers.  I have no idea how in practice this group worked, but it seemed for a bit at least to have been successful.  Is it worth trying to start a similar group on the Multiplay forums, perhaps advertising for a a small group of like-minded people to help us seed our (and their) servers more regularly?

As a matter of interest, THIS is the thread on TOGA's (was 141) forum explaining how they do it.
I understand they use a seeding TS channel to organise themselves.
The TOGA server seems to be pretty full all the time.

I like the idea of a seeding group. It will have to come outside of dMw as the folks here don't want to seed.

I've been looking into TOGA and server seeding groups. What is certain is that when we try to see our own server it isn't enough..

Just a quick update.. I've registered at Rackage Friends Group: http://www.rackagefriends.com/index.php and I'm in the process of getting our details up.

In addition I've changed our server tag to include RFG so others can search on it..

As soon as I hear back from them I'll let you know.

Thanks for the lead's guys. sometimes it's difficult to find these things on your own..

As I reported earlier I joined the Rackage Friends group and tried to become part of their seeder goup. Unforunately as we're on multiplay they're reluctant to have us join.

If anyone has any other suggestions on how we can get the server seeded and moving, please let us all know.
