That's from the detailed stats page, right?  That page is updated less often, the main team page is the most accurate for current position.  Right now it shows us as 313th.  Both will always change though as we and other teams vie for position.

Maybe in ten minuted we dropped 5 places?

TeaLeaf

The detailed stats page is not updated that often; the normal team stats page was checked before I posted the updated stats and the number was higher than Sheepeh's.

Here's yet another update on the Folding Team and where we are headed :)

New Data:

Team Rank:
The team kicked off on 31st August, so we have not been going that long, but we have made significant progress since then moving from our initial team rank of over 30,000th, down into the top 5000, top 3000, top 1000 (on 15th September), top 500, 362nd (12th September) and are now ranked 273rd in the world

Team size:
Has now increased to 34 (from 30) with the addition of some new Keele-based members.  Way to go with the recruitment drive Frenzy :worship:   The new members will be really helpful as it should start to push our folding rate back up again to our previous highs.

Current Folding Rate:
Despite new members our folding rate is now 6,855 ppw (down from a high of 9,250 ppw), but this is mainly due to people being away at the LAN party this last weekend and a few *inactive* members creeping in :(  Peeps, if you can, then please do rejoin us in the active ranks :)  The new members have only just joined so they don;t really show up in the weekly stats yet, but I imagine that in about a week's time the folding rate should take a jump upwards :D

World Rank 300th:
We achieved this as predicted, just prior to the LAN on 24th October 2003.  Way to go peeps :worship:

World Rank 200th:
We on track to reach this ranking on or around 2nd December (back from the previous 29th November and 15th November estimates).  This apparent delay is mainly down to the slow folding rate this week.

100,000 Team Points:
At our current rate of folding we should achieve 100,000 points by 8th December (used to be 29th November 2003).  This currently equates to a world ranking of 192nd (was 188th).

1st January 2004
We are on course to reach over 124,000 points by the end of this year (was 138,000).

Top 100:
Between us and the top 100 there are still only 13 teams that fold faster than our normal rate (when we get back up there again!).  So we have a real good shot at the top 100 in 2004.

1k Klub Members: Congratulations to all of our 1k Klub members - I know that there will be many more in the future!  The 1k Klub is currently made up of
  • Tugs
  • Squonk
  • Smite
  • Sadako
  • Tutonic
  • DogMeat
  • Cadaver
  • Brass
  • Gandalf
  • Johanne Spooner
w2g chaps and chapesses :worship:

5k Klub Members
  • Stryker
  • Zok
Tugs should join this club momentarily :)

10k Klub & Individual World Ranking
  • Oldbloke
  • TeaLeaf
Both are also now both members of the individual folding world top 5000.  :D

We've done great job so far, let's get more people in the community folding for our team - pester them, sign them up and if they refuse then you have permission to assimilate them ;)

Here's the November update on the F@H Team 33597 and where we are headed :)

New Data:

Team Rank:
The team kicked off on 31st August, so we have not been going that long, but we have made significant progress since then moving from our initial team rank of over 30,000th, down into the top 5000, top 3000, top 1000 (on 15th September), top 500, 362nd (12th September), 273rd (31st October) and are now ranked 205th in the world

Team size:
Has now increased to 35 (from 34) with the addition of a chrysalid zombie :)

Current Folding Rate:
Our folding rate is now 11,200 ppw (up from a low of 6,855 ppw on 31st October).  This is due to some major-league borging from GandalfLoJ who now has 24 machines working for his army!  Oldbloke also had a temporary reprieve as BT appeared to relax their firewall again and his borged machines were able to once again make contact with Stanford.  In particular, his fastest borged machine (a dual xenon with 1GB of RAM, affectionately known as the 'turbo nutter b*stard') was able to dump prodigious amounts of ppw onto our score.  But alas it looks like BT have shut that little firewall hole again as his ppw total is now dropping :( Unlucky Oldie.  Despite this minor setback, our folding rate is generally up, even though we now have 8 inactive members.  Smite - you're back from your sabatical, start your F@H client again!

World Rank 300th:
We achieved this as predicted, just prior to the LAN on 24th October 2003.  Way to go peeps :worship:

World Rank 200th:
We are on track to reach this ranking on or around 1st December (forward from 2nd December.

100,000 Team Points:
We achieved the 100,000 points mark earlier than predicted due to Oldie and Gandalf's massive effort - we achieved the goal on 26th November.  100,000 points currently equates to a world ranking of 208th (lowered from 192nd last month).

1st January 2004
As our short-term folding rate is so high, we are now on track to exceed 150,000 points by 1st January.  This is up massively from the 124,000 points estimate of last month's report, but I expect this to fall back a little bit as BT's firewall begins to bite.  I would project 144,000 as a more reasonable target.

Top 100:
Between us and the top 100 there are still only 13 teams that fold faster than our normal rate.  So we are still on track to break into their elite ranks in 2004, it's a bit far away to tell exactly when, but an educated guess says somewhere around August.

1k Klub Members: Congratulations to all of our 1k Klub members - I know that there will be many more in the future!  The 1k Klub is currently made up of

  • Smite

5k Klub Members
  • tugs New!
tugs joins the 5k klub just as Stryker and Zok get promotion to the 10k klub, but never fear tugs, you'll be joined by two other members within 48 hours :D

10k Klub & Individual World Ranking
  • Oldbloke
  • TeaLeaf
  • Stryker New!
  • Zok New!
Individual World Rankings for these peeps are as follows:
2,811th - OldBloke
2,825th - TeaLeaf
5,287th - dMw-Stryker
5,302nd - Zok

We've done well in our first three months, the challenge for the next three months is to increase the number of people folding for us.  So I set a personal challenge, let's see how many people non-dMw peeps you can get folding for our team!  If you're really sneaky you can get them folding under your name to get the credit for the points, but the more the merrier whosever name the points are under.

Here's the January 2004 update on the F@H Team 33597, how we have done and where we are headed :)

New Data:

Team Rank:
The team kicked off on 31st August, so we have not been going that long, but we have made significant progress since then moving from our initial team rank of over 30,000th, down into the top 5000, top 3000, top 1000 (on 15th September), top 500, 362nd (12th September), 273rd (31st October), 205th (29th November)  and are now ranked 150th in the world

Team size:
Has now increased to 43 (from 35) with the addition of 8 new members over the past 2 months   :D

Current Folding Rate:
Our folding rate is now 13, 691 ppw (up from 11,200 ppw on 29th November).  This is due to the addition of the new members and in particular the monster contribution that BigFatCat is putting towards the effort.  BFC has already posted 6,500 points, climbed to 9th in the team and is currently producing 1,951 ppw which makes BFC the team's current Top Points Producer - w2g BFC :D

The current folding rate keeps us more or less in line with Tweaktown who have been working hard to catch us since we passed them about 2 months back.  Both they and us have increased their folding rates from circa 9,500-10,000 ppw to 13,500 ppw in an attempt to outdo each other!

World Rank 300th:
We achieved this as predicted, just prior to the LAN on 24th October 2003.  Way to go peeps :worship:

World Rank 200th:
We achieved this as expected on 1st December 2003.

World Rank 150th:
We achieved this yesterday evening, 1st February 2004 :D

100,000 Team Points:
We achieved the 100,000 points mark earlier than predicted due to Oldie and Gandalf's massive effort - we achieved the goal on 26th November.  100,000 points currently equates to a world ranking of 256th (lowered from 208th last month).

200,000 Team Points:
We achieved this on 28th January and our total today is now 207,034 points.  200,000 points currently equates to a World Ranking of 152nd.

1st January 2004
We achieved 151,000 points by 1st January thanks to the new members and the extra CPUs folding for the team.  w2g peeps!

Top 100:
Between us and the top 100 there are now only 4 teams that fold faster than our current rate (down from 13 teams in November), although there are a further 5 teams who fold at about the same rate as us.   We are still on track to break into the elite Top 100 rank in 2004, it's a bit far away to tell exactly when, but an educated guess still says somewhere around July/August.

1k Klub Members: Congratulations to all of our 1k Klub members - I know that there will be many more in the future!  The 1k Klub is currently made up of
  • DuVeL
  • [dMw]Aga New!
  • Ninja_Freak New!
  • Brass
  • SmiteThee
  • johanne-spooner
  • Tutonic
  • Liberator New!
  • [dMw]DarkAngel
  • Albert
  • Mrs_Dingo New!
  • smilodon New!
  • Bunce

5k Klub Members
  • emile New!
  • Sadako New!
  • Dogmeat New!
  • BigFatCat New!
  • tugs
  • Cadaver New!
  • frenzy New!
  • Norm New!
tugs is no longer alone as a raft of members have made the jump from the 1k klub to the 5k klub since the last report.  Some of these are also scarily close to moving up to the 10k klub real soon :D

10k Klub & Individual World Ranking
  • Oldbloke
  • TeaLeaf
  • Stryker
  • Zok
  • Gandalf-LoJ New!
Welcome to the top table G-man!  But look out behind you as we are expecting some company real soon now ;)

Individual World Rankings for the 10k klub members are as follows:

1,855th (up from 2,825th) - TeaLeaf
2,936th (down from 2,811th) - OldBloke
2,961st (up from 5,302nd) - Zok
3,578th - Gandalf-LoJ
4,489th (up from 5,287th) - dMw-Stryker

In order to get a Top 1,000 Folder rnaking you currently need about 53,000 points.

We've done superbly well in our first five months, but the challenge ocntinues and real progress will now depend upon more members joining and borging more machines!

Borg more to fold faster
