Restarted but it went into that long map download.  Think Steam borked it with last update.

It appears that we had the wrong ID in the steam_appid.txt file (found by Sulky). We has 730 instead of 740. When I changed it to 740 the downloads no longer happen on server start. Mind you, a whole host of other error messages appear but hey ho :)

From what i've been reading this morning it should be 730 https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=234053
This makes no sense as the appid fro CS:Go is 740 but with it as 740 the server can't find the maps in the collection and the server can't be connected to. That's why the maps are not downloading, it can't find them as it expects the appid to be 730 in Workshop

I'm running a validate on both servers and am going to set Boomer to the standard SE map collection to see if it's a map issue that's causing the crashes.

EDIT:
The validations finished successfully on both servers, I've deleted the Workshop cache files and the maps are currently downloading on Meathook. If we still get issues on Boomer the next step is to disable Sourcemod and Metamod.

Cheers Whitey :)

FYI Peanuts said:
730 is the app ID for cs:go, 740 is for dedicated server
the file was generated on my server too, with 730
so what happens if you do what ob did?
it loads the server, but I can't join
S3: Client connected with ticket for the wrong game: UserID: 2
RejectConnection: 82.44.246.2:27005 - STEAM validation rejected

Just tried Boomer & MH.
Boomer was running \125499116\de_inferno_se and MH \174668691\cs_agency
I couldn't join the server (stuck in map load)
So in HLSW I changed the maps to de_inferno and cs_agency (same maps, just without the numbers)
I could join no problem.

Edit:just had a thought
If I edit out all the maps in our collection that appear twice in HLSW list, maybe that will help?

Boomer crashed on map change last night and didn't restart.
Shame as we were filling up nicely.

Found an srcds.exe error on screen. Cleared it and server restarted ok.

Blunt

Thanks for sorting us out twice mid-evening OB:thumbsup:

But the servers have both crashed since and are down atm.

Something is seriously wrong if we can't game for more than a few maps without crashing.

Maybe a complete re-install would help?

First thing to try is disabling all the add ons as mentioned in my earlier post. I'll do that when I get home from work.

OK cheers Whitey.

FYI another server that I play on is also experiencing crashes, they seem to think it's sourcemod too.

That's the addons disabled but still getting a number of maps downloading on restart.  Did you do the tidy up of the collection you were talking about Blunt?
