Alpha 12 is here, and it's a big one.

You might want to stick to A11b until the hotfix for A12 is released. You can switch versions in steam. Right click on the game name and should be simple to find it.

A12 is a massive bugfest at the moment. Players are up in arms on the 7Days forums.

Edit: Hotfix is out. Map save location has changed in A12. Some issues need to be manually fixed by editing xml files.

that picture doesn't work.. in any case I haven't found anything on the forums that will let you run at an old version. I think we should just update our server.... Whitey / TL - can you do the honours?

That picture was working when it was uploaded, but that's 6 days ago..

Anyho, right click on the game, properties, betas tab, and it's a drop down menu. Quite simple.

Hi TL. Apologies but the server needs to be updated to 12.2 as that is the latest. Also, there's no PW on our server at the moment.

If someone else with access to the server wants to add a password:

serverconfig.xml in "/7 days to die dedicated server" folder under the steam/steamapps/common directory.

You can use the above settings, and it will return to the usual, however you need to add the usual password as I'm not writing it here.

Also, if the previous state wasn't moved automatically, the new game state directory is:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie

Instead of MyDocuments.

Try that. Unfortunately the DS does not give me any way of telling which version it is running, which is bloody unhelpful, so hopefully I updated it enough times to be on whatever is the current version.

Well, it was patched again today.

The DS is a bit information starved, and that's why I suggested using one of the server managers available. Dealing with stuff is quite handy with it.
