Let's get ahead of ourselves here. It's out soon, how are we going to get a competition and some action going?

Start with same team, restrict to 10 games a week? Is there a multiplayer? Is FM Live the way to go? C'mon FM'ers let's get your ideas in here. A live table would be great!!

I am playing Champman 01/02 with the September 2010 patch.
Finding it more fun than I have had from football management in a while.

But......

If 2011 is live - I'm in

RizZy

I could well be tempted back into management with this years release.

Benny

That's 3, I reckon we need at least 8 to get a competetive league going, next question is how do we do it?

Well, whatever server side support is available we can offer, but I've no idea how the game works, I've never played it before.

I've never played FM online, but I'd love to give it a go - count me in.

Has anyone considered Football Manager Live as an alternative?

It's only Ã,£4.99 a month.

So, it's out tomorrow I believe. Let's get something rolling. Stick your name down as and when you get it. I'm sure Dewey will be along shortly to give us an idea on how we can run this as a mini comp.....

My favourite games in FM involve picking a team that meets the following criteria:

  • Has money to spend in transfer market - because that allows me to put my own mark on the team and its a lot of fun
  • Finding a team that has the potential to be big and can grow with you ie a Newcastle/Sunderland etc because if you pick a team thats small ie Hull - invariably even if you have some success its hard to build a team as your star players will be cherry picked by those teams with a better reputation (everybody in Hulls case!), your reputation takes eons to get better etc
  • I'm not adverse to choosing a team in Italy or Spain but prefer the Premiership/Championship
So I'm thinking either a well supported team with potential for growth from the Championship or a sleeping giant in the prem as a starter team? Any suggestions?

And yes as I like some pain so I'll be running a Hull game alongside this one if we all decide on a format.

Bought it and downloaded (tsk I was only getting 92mb/s at work this morning so that too ages)... well less than 30 seconds :)
