Hi all.

My name is Asgeir (pronounced Oscar in english). I am a 31 year old norwegian. I work at domain hosting company (domainnameshop.com). I have 3 kids, a girlfriend and i like cheesedoodles. I mean.. I like cheesedoodles so much, I would like to mix it with chocolate milk in a blender, just to see how it tastes. With ingredients like that, it sounds like the outcome must be perfect.
Let me tell you about my girlfriend; She stops me from doing things like that.

Well, as you understandââ,¬Â¦ 3 kids, full time job and a girlfriend doesn't give a lot of time off. So I value every moment of it. As I value every moment of the time spent with my girlfriend. (Yuck, why do I write that.. my girlfriend aint even gonna see this application(but its still true)).

What kind of internet connection do you have?

DSL at home 4mb/s. Some backbone super-fast connection when Im at work. Did some tests and its like 200mb/s or something. (I know, every time I download something, my tupeé gets blown of. Its fas.)

What are the core specs of your computer?
-
I have a PC, a Packard Bell with 3gb RAM. The 8600gs videocard was too slow, so I bought something faster, but not too expensive. Its ok. No lag or problems there.

How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
-
Wow, since I was 11 and I got my first Amiga 500. Always been into strategy games. Loved them actually. But Duke Nukem was cool.
My first MMORPG was a swedish game. Cant remember, but from 2000 and onwards, I didn't have much time for gaming.
When I in 2005 discovered WoW, I knew I would never be hooked on anything else.

What kind of raiding experience do you have?

Well, as I hit 60 on my hunter, back in 2006, I raided ZG, AQ20 and MC. Never got any further in Vanilla :-(
This was horde side on the server Zenedar.
When TBC came out, I moved to Aszune with my brother and some friends. We had a great time. Raiding Karazhan and a little SSC and Gruuls, Maggyââ,¬Â¦ all those good places.

But, my brother and friends.. they suddenly stopped playing.. So I had to look other placesââ,¬Â¦ Guild was breaking up and everything was boring.
Until I did a faction change. Alliance on Aszune has much better players, theres less flaming and people act more mature(!) than horde side.

After WOTLK came out, I joined The Management (after running my own leveling guild for a few months). And raided Naxx, Ulduar and ToC.

Before christmas, I met my girlfriend, changed job and moved to another city. So I stopped playing until just a few weeks ago.
When I got back, I was told that the guild dissolved because of some leadership changes.

What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?

Well. I was never forced to move on from any guild.
My main is now in Dragon Hearts of Wow, butââ,¬Â¦ I already told the GM that I probably will be leaving.
As I a social and easy-going guy, I tend to be attached to the guilds I join.
But other than that, I always left by own will. On those rare occasions that I actually do leave..

Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?

I do play on alts. These are called Slushard, Slushage, Slushid, Slushiest, Slusher and so onââ,¬Â¦ Pretty easy to do a /who

What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you? Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.

I like strategies. I like being social when Im online. I like tweaking statistics. (Why did we wipe, combat logs, rotations, dps, hps). I would like to just hang out. Hang out in a guild that has a friendly and chill atmosphere. Not in a guild that pretends like they have it.
Sometimes I talk a lot in /g, sometimes I don't talk at all. Same with ventââ,¬Â¦ Im very comfortable talking in english, even though Im from Norway.

Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.

Why does everybody has full purples at level 80. Its not the way it should be. Purples are too common. Use greens and blues more, Blizzard.
I could go on about AoE (looks like we are back to single-target skilled dps in Cata, yay!)ââ,¬Â¦ but i wont.

Why did you decide to play this class?
-
I was sick and tired of horde side on Aszune, and wanted to try something new, therefor; I leveled a shaman ally-side. My priest was my main in TBC, so I knew what healing was. And thats where I ended up. I like all classes, except melee dps. Never got the hung of that.

What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
-
Raid healing mostly these days. Its all about them chain heals. But thats in the easy VoA-ToC-Heroics content.
As i haven't tried out much ICC yet, I know its about bringing raid buffs, being able to dps a little as well. Which is possible with elemental in mostly the same gear. Just lacks some hit. I am not an Elitistjerk, but I do check in on the forum once in a while to see if theres something new.

Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question).

There is no PvP in my healing spec at a all. The points I put in the elemental tree is purely for bigger heals and more heals. Its a very common and all-round healing spec. I feel I have the right utilities to do a good job in the field. Butââ,¬Â¦ Everything can be improved!

What do you look for in a guild?
-
Respect. Dedication. Matureness (if there is such a word). A place to stay, even though the days are gray.
If you are in a guild.. where you just feel comfortable, and where people are easygoing and everybody feels at home, thats where I want to be when Im playing my favorite game of all time. I read through your "Class needs", your "Philosophy" and your "What we look for"ââ,¬Â¦ and its all me. Thats what Im looking for.

''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?

Its a raiding guild. I am mostly a social, but my gear is good enough, and will be better over time, to hopefully jump in if somebody has called in sick.
Its a fun name, not fun as in "Lol lich king", but in a more elegant way.

Cause you have what Ive been looking for. And I know Mythnight from earlier. A most skilled, mature and dedicated player. If you got more people in your guild like him- I would get on my knees to join you guys.

Annoying questions

A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
-
Offensive can mean loads of things. If its directed to someone in particular, in /G or, a pug-raid or in /2, I would notify an officer. Its not tolerable to behave like a child just because you have the anonymity of the internet. If its bad language because something went utterly wrong. Well, it depends, I don't like rude language, and yelling F***ing C**t in guild chat should not be tolerated, i would "/w Watch your language please." even if I was a trial and the person doing it was a Veteran.
If it was repeated, or he directed this anger towards me, I would notify and officer. I don't pick fights.

Nice app, but then as a resto shaman myself I love shaman!   DMR needs MOAR SHAMAN NAOW!

Your build is sound, but I'd suggest:

-dropping all your intellect gems and swap them for haste gems instead (other than sufficient to enable the meta gem): the haste significantly increases healing throughput and you'll not miss the mana.  Back with i226 gear you needed the intellect, but with i245 and higher gear haste is the way to go.
-swap your trinkets for spell power trinks (from badges or drops) for the same reasons as above

....of course all this changes substantially in Cata!
