Some servers I've played on are really well managed and ban players for hacking. Heck, I even got banned from a server as the admin thought I was hacking. I went to their forums and explaind a bit and got unbanned from that server. Seems that that server had some Punkbuster admins on and they checked logfiles and all and my ID's from the Battlefield games. Next time I was on that server they told me they'd be spectating me lol.

Just use the N2000 yourself and try it out.

We had to ban some guy last night for using an aimbot.

Once again our server failed to automatically pick it up :(

Quote from: Dewey;316849That is true - Recon who just sit for the entire game miles from anywhere (including their base) deserve to be shot, I have been know to highlight snipers on my own side who do this - they perform no useful function...

Hi Dewey, Don't 100% agree with you m8,  For example...

My play style is to charge at the Mcon's and hope that I can shoot faster than the other guy if our paths cross. If I have Rizzy in my squad I know that he will be sat well back sniping away supporting me.
Not only that but he will also spot the targets in front giving me/the team the advantage we need. This has definutly given us the advantage to take the mcon numerouse times.

Only downside is that in this role you do loose the team mate for close support/someone to spawn on.

That was the dude called THEFUNHOUSE wasnt it?  When I had my little refreshment break (Thanx EA) I was watching wolfspawn log and saw him using the M24 and every kill was a headshot, when I rejoined it seems he had gone, now I know why.

A sniper can be a useful addition to a squad/team if he actually plays as a team member & doesn't just try to get an awesome score, my no1 priority is to spot when I snipe, then I worry about everything else, depending on the map I'm also quite happy to take something other than a sniper rifle & spam motion mines which can be very very helpfull too.

PC Games makers would do well to take a look at CS for how to make an online game, just the simple thing of not being able to spec in 1st person makes such a difference in being able to spot a cheat, luckily for us last night the guy was so obvious even just following him around you could see what he was upto.

Here watch the movies on this site,it says it all Aimbot,Wallhack ect

That guy from yesterday had it all.

For me its all about getting the most out of each class. If Rizzy is sniping from afar, he can't use motion detectors (which are very useful especially when attacking a flag/mcon), you can't spawn on him (which could mean the difference when taking a flag/mcon down) he won't be able to see every thing, he certainly won't be able to spot everything, and if he's in the same position he's easy to take out and to avoid his shots. Also if the mcon is in a house or the flag is near cover mr sniper isn't going to be able take you out once he's used his mortar strike.

So while I can see some advantages I think these are outweighed by having another body on the ground - I'd much rather have a recon guy on the flag with me, with a shotgun/motion detectors. The spawn point alone is so important IMO you can't afford to have a 1/4 of your team potentially just spotting and not being able to take the objective.

Rizzy - but any class can spot so why do you need a sniper to do that? Every player I see I spot as does the rest of BIG.

At the end of the day theres no right or wrong its just dependent on your style of play and how it fits in with the loadout of your squad - I prefer aggressive recons :)

Often enough when a team losses, is because it had too many snipers frag hunting.
"Even in a justified war, only one place there is for the dead; if someone loses - it\'s only you. Prime Ministers leave without a scratch - when everything ends they mourn the people; but I want to live on and mourn them"

Agreed Rouge!

We've all been on servers, you join a squad, and you see your team mates are miles away from the action, and shock horror theres often a 2 or 3 of them together - I mean why? Get in amongst it and take a flag :)

Saturday-evening while playing on one of my regular servers there was some weird hacking going on. Me and others from our side kept spawning on the enemies site where we got instakilled. Weirdest thing I ever saw. Funny thing is that a guy from the other side was accusing me of hacking while I got killed like 5 times in a row. ROFL

For me it depends when I'll go sniping and such, usually on dMw it's rushing for me as I really like to catch some defenders offguard.
