Went to cine on saturday in the hope of watching Kill Bill, but alas I hadn't used my two brain cells and realised that pre-booking the opening weekend of arguably the years biggest film would be a must

Instead went to see this - directed by Clint Eastwood and starring one of the finest and most experienced leading male trios of probably any film this year.

Basic premise is that three childhood friends; Kevin Bacon, Tim Robbins, and Sean Penn have their lives intertwined after the death of Penns daughter.  Bacon is a cop investigating and Robbins the shady suspect.  Also stars Larry Fishburne and Laura Linney.

If you like your films with depth, plot, and story, then this is for you.  Great performances from the three leads and Clint's direction is spot on.  After reading Sadako's summary of The Game in this forum it reminds you of how much Penn is maturing into one of Hollywoods finest character actors after his brat pack start in the film industry.

It's originally a book that I read several years ago after a recommendation by a friend - if you like thrillers I would highly recommend it.
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better
