  I think I'll stick to watching racing where the racing is what gets people watching!

:shrugs: it's pure entertainment now, they'll have power ups soon.

Give me a nudge when they get lasers.

Lame. He should leave the sport alone, changing the rules each year isn't making it more interesting. Deliberately clogging up the pit lane doesn't sound like it will either.

When it naturally happens, it does turn the race into an intense one, but turning on and off the taps, kinda too artificial and cause safety issues

Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

Don't they already with Kers?

No one had Kers last season as the extra weight was not worth while, can't remember if it's coming back this season or not

KERS is a choice, plus it has pros and cons. You're carrying around lots of extra weight for a short term boost in performance. Some tracks there's not enough breaking to charge it, others there are. It's a tactic whether you fit it to the car, just like picking a different downforce setting or starting with less fuel (when that was allowed). Deliberately soaking the track removes the element of skill in predicting the weather. There'll be a lap where it's clearly advantageous to come in, and each team only has one pit box. So unless your drivers are spread by 20 seconds, you're a bit screwed (I know they can do the stop part in 5 seconds, but getting more tyres and a safe release in a full pit lane.

There's not skill in that. if you go in a lap early you'll burn your wet tyres on a dry track. If you go in a lap late you'll lose 15+ seconds fighting the conditions.

I'm all for allowing different car packages, KERS, Adjustable wings, More tyre choices, F-Duct etc etc. And turning up at a track with limited testing and trying to piece something together that works best. Everyone on different setups tailored to the driver of that specific car having advantages in different parts of the track. But messing with the track so purposely seems crude and inelegant. It's more Nascar than F1.

To be honest, this idea has been in my mind for a long time, but now that the officials are starting to say it, somehow it doesn't seem so attractive anymore. Especially as you guys said, it will become to artificial. Sure I'd love to see all raining races, they are the most fun to watch, but then with rain i suppose, not with splashes of water.
