Caus of the recruitment and new players from inguild joining all the time it sometimes happens we miss some people, especially caus we copy the event to other days. I am sorry for this, but im glad you noticed, I will try to remember when I get home, if not please help me

I was a bit surprised by the choice of trying to kill the Conclave. I was prepared for Maloriak as the next new boss to kill since we tried it on the previous run.

Would it be possible to announce the new bosses we are going to try that week before the wednesday raid? If they are on the forums around 17:00 on wednesday, it gives some time to look up the fight.

Yeah i agree with Lego. It would be interesting if we know wich bosses we would attempt in advance so we can check tacts before the raid.

@lego, sorry for this but i had a talk with TL about Halfus and he came up with conclave, because it has no trash and is a easy boss i decided to follow that advice.
Basicly the kill order for cata is magmaw>omni>halfus/conclave>maloriak/valiona>atramedes>chimaeron>council>chogall>al akir> nefarian

Yep blame me, Conclave is significantly easier than Halfus imo.  Halfus varies from moderate-medium depending on the combo you get.  I figured with the group we had we would have far less trouble with Conclave than Halfus.  It's a simple fight with no trash and if you'd gone to Halfus then by the time you had done the trash you might only have had time for a couple of pulls.  Maloriak is significantly harder than either Halfus or Conclave.

As for which fights to be prepared for, I think the message from the above is that people had different ideas as to where they thought they might be going, but nobody actually knew.  So the learning point is probably for the RLs to try to announce the raid goal for the week earlier so that people can be prepared.

HOWEVER, and here's the rub, you go to the bosses you have the group for, despite the raid goal/plan.  For example, I'd not be as keen doing a Halfus with 3 melee dps compared to say a Conclave with 3 melee dps.  So the answer to which boss you should prepare for is all the logical 'next' bosses, probably in an order somewhat similar to the list below (which is my own subjective boss order list):

Magmaw - KILLED
Omnitron - KILLED
Conclave of Wind - be prepared
Halfus Wyrmbreaker - be prepared
Valiona and Theralion - be prepared
Maloriak - be prepared
Atramedes
Chimaeron
Council
Cho'gall
Al'Akir
Nefarian

Every time you kill a new boss, add the next boss on the list to the 'be prepared' block.  It is quite possible to down a couple of new bosses in a night, so you need to be prepared for several, not just one boss.

A list like this would be perfect. With one adjustment: with RGW we also killed Halfus :thumbsup:
So I better start preparing/fresh up Conclave, V&T, Maloriak and Atramedes. :norty:
