Will you be purchasing this? pre-order to save a whopping 10% :sideways: meaning you will be purchasing for £10.34 (instead of £11.49:sideways:)

Available: March 25th

Patch expected: 26th,27th,28th,29th,30th,1st,2nd (2 patches to fix previous patches) ,3rd,4th,5th, end of patches as they give up but happy in the knowledge they have your money

I want to give them the middle finger, but probably end up buying it

Sparko

Yeah i will be getting it, with great reluctance

Tutonic

I'll buy it if the new maps go onto our server.

yeah i would like this too, the only problem is if that were to happen the guys that havent got the new map pack would get kicked off the server as soon as a new map was loaded.

bit of a tricky one really, i think its absolutely disgusting that they are charging for it, the cheek of it!!

maybe this should go to a poll? :g:

Blunt

I am very reluctant to buy this...in fact, I am totally opposed to buying it.

It will fracture the already shaky player base that BO has.

If we run this on our server, every time a new map comes up, the players who haven't coughed up £10 will be kicked...

...on a game that requires SIX players to get a game going?

They can **** right off!

people are angry

I know I am not the reg I should be but I will not being buying it.

TeaLeaf

I'll not be buying it either tbh.

Penfold

Well it's Blunt's call as GL and if he's not buying it then that's our party line for dMw and we won't be supporting it. (yay! Vive la révolution!)

KKND

Not gonna buy it either!

Oberg

I won´t buy it.

10$ for 4-5 maps is stupid.

Ff they would add a few new game modes and maybe some new skins or weaponry so that it feels like a "true" DLC patch thingy.

Then i would gladly buy it!

FrEnZy

Not really interested in buying it.

I'm not a fan of DLC at the best of times, and this is particuarly light on content.

...I miss map editors being released

Im a tight old git and the thought of paying out money for maps insults me. I have yet to do it for any game yet and I would have to be very well into it to warrant it. Black ops is good fun but its not got much depth. As blunt said it will make players even thinner on the ground with a 50/50 split on expansion.

Review:

Made me laugh to see this on steams update page:

"Deus Ex. Half-Life 2. Episodes One and Two. Hm? Oh hi, didn’t see you there. I  was just thinking of things that are cheaper than a Call of Duty: Black Ops map  pack to pass the time while I camp.".........  :lmfao:

Bet they still made a bundle for such a broken game

After reading the review I'm even more glad I didn't get it. I've bought DLC for other games, things like borderlands, but they were much better value (full price I think £6-7). The game itself was long and fun to play, I didn't feel disappointed at the end of it etc.
BO on the otherhand I paid £20 for and got essentially CoD 4...with less maps. The single player was ok, but I couldn't care less if a game designed to be multiplayer these days even has a singleplayer mode. So no porting of the classic maps over other games in the series (I mean how much does that cost to do really?). No community making custom maps. It's just a pretty bland game that doesn't justify the price tag.

Then ask £11.50 for 4 extra maps (and 1 zombie one - I've never played that mode) which turn out to be no good (46% is pretty damning). All I can say is fingers crossed for Battlefield 3 and Brink, because MoH was a disappointment even compared to BO so if those 2 fail I'm not sure if there's going to be any fun FPSs which aren't terrible value for money around.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.
