Karrde

You

Who are you? Jeff but most of you know me as Karrde
Where are you from? Southampton, UK. (Actually I'm from Portsmouth I just live in Southampton /spit).
How old are you? 32
What kind of work do you do? Digital Marketing Manager
What's your situation at home like?
Usually cold, but otherwise normal I guess. Married and employed.
What kind of internet connection do you have? Virgin media hope for 10mb
What are the core specs of your computer? Oh god erm Toby knows erm... theres some cores and 8gb of RAM and Nvidia 580GTI or something.  I bought it last week new and it has some cool stuff in it.
How long have you been playing computer ames and what kind? As long as I can remember, at least 25 years.  Played all types of games but mostly FPS and MMORPG. Some of you may remember my knife and silenced MP5 :)
What kind of raiding experience do you have? Played WoW for 6 years and been a rogue officer in two big guilds in Doomhammer. Didn't do all of BC content and never did get Lich King down (my fault, life stuff) but done BH, and about half of Blackwing Descent.
What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on? I was Rogue Officer for Evolution which was a top tier raiding guild in vanilla and BC. Moved to another server when I worked in London and didnt raid for a while. Moved back to Horde to another high level horde guild for WotLK but as expansion started losing people I moved to alliance to raid with Gortex and Feezuki. At start of Cata they moved and I moved back to old Horde guild. Became officer but but Feb 2011 guild fell to pieces and so I'm looking for new home.
Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you? Not on server atm, but I'll start some.
If you are a cross-server applicant, name someone from your home server that can vouch for you. Gortex, Feezuki
What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you? Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game. I've played this game a long time and enjoy the challenge of raids. It's got tougher to balance with RL as more and more stuff comes up at work. WoW is about relaxing and having fun.  I'm never serious but listen to instructions and kill what needs killing.
Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state. Cataclysm has got old really fast, but I know Blizzard are aware of this. I just hope they are not too focused on new MMORPG and neglecting the game now.

Your character

Please link to your armory profile. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/doomhammer/corren/simple
If your armory does not show your intended spec then please make a template of it and link it.
Why did you decide to play this class? I am sneaky backstabbing, shadow lurker, killer who enjoys wearing leather. And in game I like picking locks :)
What do you think your class' role is in raid content? Cause as much damage as possible, interupt spells, disarm traps, crowd control, comedy.
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question) Highest dps for duel daggers atm. Maybe if I picked up 2 other weapons e.g. sword I'd switch to combat but rogues have always been driven by weapons first.

This guild

What do you look for in a guild? Fun, progression and people to talk to.
''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name? Zombies in a fridge
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us? Jon and Fee kept pestering me and you guys seemed to still be really keen about Wow, which is really good sign of a guild.
Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them? Gortex, Feezuki, Whitey, Tea Leaf, etc.  Essentially 2 RL friends and people I've met at DMW Lans.
Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them? Sounds good and thought out.

Annoying questions

A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do? Wait until LAN 20, find their hotel room and gaffa tape them to the ceiling. Or laugh it off if not too bad, and if bad decide to report it to officer or explain why I think it's offensive and request not to hear it again. Im not easily shocked but do have some strong beliefs in people being polite, fair and thoughtful of others.
Cake or Pie? Pie - savoury for the win.

Gortex

Good luck mate with the application and am pleased to see all the pestering over the weekend at the lan worked.... :norty:

Not sure how feez got on with twobad though (poor guy) :roflmao:
