Another Raid Report from vladic (im gonna do these every raid night), well the raid went exceptionally smooth to begin with, with magmaw going down first attempt (a raid group first ), and the first 2 attempts on Omnotron went brilliantly (the second attempt we had him at 600k then we all died), however that is sadly when things started to get far and few between.

The next few attempts ended with the boss averagly around 4000k and 5000k health which by all accounts was a good attempt and was partly bad luck, however some attempts (and i know my langauge is blunt) where frankly shocking, considering our past attempts on nearly succeeding on conclave, maloraik at 66% and Valiona attempt, Omnotron should be dropping like a rock and at least on a 3rd attempt.

Issues I spotted from addons and what I saw where:

Not enough interupts on Arcanatron (the most i saw where 7 from nims and 6 from myself in one fight)

Stirb took double the damage I took (3 million) im still not sure how that occured (I reset the meter every boss attempt) and I wont deny I used Intervene a few times each fight (if anyone wondered why I was charging around

After about 10/15 wipes on Omnotron we proceeded to go to Conclave (originally halfus) to have a few attempts which sadly faired none the better, my own attempts at holding the adds for anshal was appaling (I will however point out my spec is more for single target tanking and it is my Offspec) as well as there still being adds remaining before each jump.

Please make suggestions complaints ETC at the bottom for the whole raid group to discuss

I would like to congradulate the healers however (aside from going OOM on mass raid heals which wasnt there fault) healing was spot on tonight especially from Lynxeffect (healing me and staying above 80% Mana)

Omnitron we had many attemps at and failed....

Many things contributed to this....We had a new tank and imo u did well Vlad,just abit of tweaking...
The main thing was people not moving for the electric shock and flame that is a single target.This causes raid damage,therefore more mana being burnt by the healers....No mana = death
Also inturupts need to be handled better....read up on tactics and watch the vids,they are all on this forum and if u r still not sure just ask
I can say im pretty crap for that fight as I can only dot them as they first pop up and i cant use my treants or starfall....i have 3 spells to use on that fight so my dps was lame and i cant really do much about that...I did however BR ppl innervate and raid heal where i could.

Also people were getting annoyed by not downing him and saying we should go here,and do another boss...Dreaman is the raid leader...listen and respect him,also the others who assist him.Plus questioning Whytee about pets and such,hes an officer in your guild and has an insane amount of knowledge of these bosses,again bit of respect required.

Another moan was "where is everyone"....its been the holidays and good weather....so they are out enjoying RL simple as that...Get used to it as TL says in a post it will happen as its the summer holidays soon....We are recruiting and hopefully it will get better.

I was very dissappointed with tonights raid, 1 boss just isnt satisfying!
Im not going to name names as to what i think has gone wrong, but i think we need regular tanks & healers in order to make progress. One week we took down 3 bosses and this week we've taken down 1, so we've actually gone backwards.
I also think using the same group everyweek will help alot, people will get geared and we will gel together as a group which will lead to more bosses going down!

Yes it is dissapointing as i put in my post, i wasnt the best,thats me.....theres 10 in the raid grp....all need to pull together...ALL need to know tactics to THEIR class....ALL are there to kill together.

Yes the same 10 would work but what happens if some1 is ill or is on holiday...the raid grp is then f**cked to put it in terms most will understand.

People are on holidays atm over easter and the weather is nice so ppl are out.....

Im a RGT raider but i pulled my finger out to help with RGW...with attitudes like urs we wont go anywhere...it takes time.

This is rubbish.

In the group tonight you had 2 raiders who have cleared 11/12 and 1 raider which has cleared bout 9/12....listen to them and read up....many things were missing from tonights raid and having 10 ppl running the same it just wouldnt happen....honestly think about it.

In defence of Lynx and the group i know it takes time but we shouldnt be going backwards in the progress we make we should get at least those 3 down each week without fail and then attempt something else (im going to push for maloraik just cause of the easyness and it saves leaving BWD to set up for ten min somewhere else) and we havnt got an attitude we are saying what we see

in reply to this Switch, im not the new tank i have no intention of tanking every week even if tanks are constantly missing as im all for team playing but i dont get any enjoyment from tanking at all, and as much as i want to help, the point of playing a game is to enjoy yourself and my enjoyment lies in going mental and beating things, for a short time i have no issue doing the tanking (few weeks tops) but im not doing it permenantly.

My main is Lynxeffect who has raided since the start of RGW as healer week in week out. One of the few consistant raiders.
When people go on holiday or cant turn up thats fair enough.
With regards to my "attitude" i dont think anyone would be happy going backwards instead of making progress.

I was gonna sleep a night over it before making a new topic but Ill just post it here:

Where the problem starts with is:

Calender Invites:
People not updating there status, I wont call names caus its quite obvious who doesnt and who does. Its not a problem if you cant be there, atleast not the first time, but you MUST update your status.

Raid Invites:
People still dont seem to know when invites are up and when you are expected to be online, raid invites are from 19:45 - 20:00, I shouldnt even be shouting this in the guildchat, other thing is that people still dont know the "Keyword", the keyword is dmrinvite, just as RGT.

Raid Start.
At 20:15 we start, this means the tank attacks the first mob at that time, not that we zone in at 20:15 or that people still need a summon at 20:15 or ohh wait I forgot this in the bank.

Trash.
When I call out that we kill this first, or that "insert name" is on that target, then you are expected to follow that, if it isnt clear then ask, I prefer explain once more then whiping.

Bosses.
I do expect people know what to do, what the abilities are and when they happen. I am not a raid leader that will tell everything for you before pulling, and I wont call out everything during the fight, atleast you cannot rely on someone calling it. Why? because I am (or someone else is) is busy with their part of the fight, and I cannot do 10-12K HPS and keep track of everything that happens.

Whipes
Not just whipes but, I want more speed in raids, we dont have the time to have a chit chat and jump around as a bunny on Crystal Meth, we could if everything goes well, but that isnt the situation, if we want do have a shot at new bosses we need to get back quick, get ready and be focussed for next pull.

Solutions
For the first 3 points my solution is simple and hard, recruitment, since we are more aggressive with recruiting, and if someone doesnt meet the requirements to enter a raid you will get replaced.

For the next 3 points the solution is focus and willing, if you want to kill Cho'gall you must be able to be focused from pull 1, there is no farming in Cata, every boss you need to give your best, and the best will increase caus gear increases, but that doesnt mean you can slack in your job even if your gear has every BiS.

Abilities
When a boss has an ability that needs a melee or a ranged then I expect that to be sorted by themselves, unless noted otherwise, so that means that if Magmaw needs 2 melee to be doing chains, then I expect a chat going on in the melee channel, same for interrupts(also get those macro's sorted before wednesday).(its an example)
This shows that you know the boss his abilities + your are busy with the game.

Tanks
I dont care who pulls first, but when I say pull I dont really want a 5 min chat going on about who still has to tie his shoes and therefor will take the 2nd boss(in case of Omnitron). We also need you guys to shout out more.

Communication
If you dont have a mic or are afraid to talk on TS(which can happen), then you better make some macro's to tell us whats going on, because its just unacceptable that we whipe and then have to read that "fill in something" happenend.
Also we need more people to shout out on TS, tell us if something is going on, if you need mana, extra heals, or anything else.

If you dont understand them then ask.

Bosses(again)
Like Switch noted in the other thread, if we say: We go to "insert boss". Then we are going there, it has little to no use to say, I'd like Halfus, or lets do Maloriak.
Why? Because we have reasons to, I would like to do Halfus, or Maloriak, but with half a hour left it has no use going there with all that trash, and Maloriak needs Omnitron down before we can go there. If we cant even kill an easy boss as Conclave then the future isnt bright.

End story
We need to push it, and work harder for our epics, if you need to watch a video 6 times to understand the fight then do so. You arent just helping youreself with it, there are 9 others aswell! We all are on the same team, some people have roles that they dont prefer to fill, but still do for the team, so that we still can raid, some people raid 4-5 days a week, just so we can still raid, In my opinion for those people we need to show that we want to raid and give our best, that we dont waste there time.

TL : DR : some rules, know tactics, give 120%, be on time.

Work hard during pulls and have fun when bidding for epics or after the raid.

Great post Drea...Lynx,sorry for not knowing which char u were in raid...

In regards to "your attitude" i could of probably worded that better...Sometimes progress doesnt come and it seems like we go backwards...It happend in RGT we had all of Black Wing bar Nef on farm and couple times we spent a night on Magmaw and omnitron,it happens sometimes and yes it is very fustrating.

Every 1 needs to take a step back and look at logs,watch videos and know their role for evey fight. As ive stated in another post,for omnitron i was crap...barely hitting 10kdps...i can only dot each boss when they 1st activate,and cant use my treants or starfall as this hits the shields,so i have 3 spells for the fight the only good thing i did was innervate Drea and Sith and the odd BR That was me i can hold my hands up and say that,so we need the others to do the same. Focus on what they need to do and hopefully pull it all together on the raid night

Hopefully we will have more peeps soon through recruitment,and people not being on holidays and such now,and we will be able to progress further.

Dps on omnotron isnt an issue theres no enrage timer (that i know of) and if there is one, we're not near it!
Its all down to interupts, Discipline (not hitting shields) and sustainability

I Blame Jas.... well perhaps not.
I know I can improve, if we all improve on one thing we will progress.
Mine was my positioning I got no excuse being a slow boomkin when healing.

I would also state as a reason, not and excuse I did have several real lag spikes that really did not help.

I will leave (or offer to leave) in future if faced with connection/lag problems like that.
