The six minute trailer is better than episode 1, 2 and 3 put together.

The Basics of Star Wars: The Old Republic
(From http://pc.ign.com/articles/117/1176273p1.html)

What's the Story?

Star Wars: The Old Republic is set more than 3,000 years before the rise   of Darth Vader. The Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire have been at   war, during which the Empire was able to seize control of a number of   Republic star systems. Though a peace treaty has been signed, it  appears  the two sides are headed for another war.

What Classes Are There?
Players in Star Wars: The Old Republic will be able to play as one of   eight character classes, four on the Republic side and four on the Sith   side. Each character class has its own weapons, companion characters,   and specializations. Details on the character classes appear below.

What's the Multiplayer Like?
There are a number of different aspects to the multiplayer in Star Wars: The Old Republic. There are flashpoints   where four players cooperatively tackle a mission, large-scale   Operations where multiple groups of players take on a massive enemy and PvP.

Do I Have to Play With Other People?
Not necessarily. Bioware has said that the majority of gameplay related   to the story in Star Wars: The Old Republic will be able to be  completed  solo, though it will be necessary to interact with other  players by  buying and selling goods, encountering them in public areas,  and  competing with them for kills.

How Much Will It Cost?
No pricing structure for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been announced yet, though it's likely to have a subscription model.

When's It Coming Out?
We have yet to hear a release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Boxed vs Origin

Q: Will we be able to buy TOR retail without  having to deal with Origin? IE will the retail box essentially be a code  for the game which will then have to be activated on Origin or will we  be able to completely bypass that system?

Stephen Reid | Senior Online Community Manager: Yes,  you will be able to buy a boxed copy of The Old Republic at retail, and  you will add the key for the game here on the official website.

Q: Will we have to install Origin and run it in order to play the game, get updates, etc. even if we purchase a boxed copy?

Stephen Reid: No, you won't.

While Origin will be the exclusive digital retailer for Star Wars: The  Old Republic (in other words, if you want to buy it online and download  it, you’ll do so through Origin) that does not mean that Origin is  required for you to access or play The Old Republic.

Origin is a digital storefront, and the desktop application is there to give you quick access to Origin exclusives and deals.

However, you won’t need to launch the Origin application to run The Old  Republic, nor will you patch the game via Origin. Once the game is on  your hard disk, you’ll be connecting to our servers to patch and launch  the game, and Origin does not have to be running to do that.

To answer another question - boxed versions of the game will include the client on DVD(s).
