Looks reasonable. Nothing makes it just out too much (except the battery I suppose) . Looks and screen wise it's similar to the Acer A500 (one to avoid if you want trouble-free HD playback). The full size HDMI beats the A500 which only has a mini-HDMI but full USB. The market is starting to fill out nicely. But it still lacks the game changer that would make me part with my cash immediately.

As far as the pricing goes don't expect anything like that when it hits over here. The Eee Transformer (my top choice right now...still struggling trying to convince myself to actually buy it though) is near enough the same price in £s and the Americans pay in $s. We get royally shafted with pricing over here.

That tab looks the busines in my opinion. Fulle size SD slot so £35 for 32GB Class 10 SD on Amazon, no need to get more than the 8GB model I would say.

The screen has the same technology as their TVs, with good auto adjustable brightness and good clarity.

I think it's the nicest one out there along with the Acer and EEE Asus.

Not sure where you got the 3G info from TL, never seen any review saying it has 3G in the first release.

Nice 65 on Congressional by the way :norty:. Only managed a 69 myself, 10 shots off the cut line :eyebrow:.

Yes you can DD, but then you risk import duty & VAT surcharges, plus you need to get a different power adapter.  You also run the risk of losing your warranty - I have heard that some of these devices have warranty restricted to the country they are sold in which seems daft to me.

@Albert - no idea where I got the 3G from, I have edited it it out.  And yes, the 65 was awesome, I was over the moon with that score on a such a difficult course,  but then totally destroyed when I found that my 65 missed the cut by 6 shots :roflmao:
To have to score a 59 just to make the cut is..........well, you know.

Got a pre-order email through today for the Thrive. I'm thinking give it 6 months with my el-cheapo tableto and get a Thrive once the price has dropped. For me it's got everything I would need, maybe a little big but hey the wife never complains.
