DMR Guild Meet - Saturday Activity

We're looking to firm up on what we do for the Saturday activity.  Closest to the hotel and therefore probably easiest to organise is a venue which hosts Ten Pin Bowling.

2 x games cost £10.00 and assuming we spread with 4 people per lane will take about 1hr 20 mins per lane to complete the two games.  Allowing for some 'shoe fitting' and travel time means it would probably absorb about 2 hours of the Saturday.

3 games would cost £12.00 total and the time taken would be about 2 hours based on 4 people per lane.

We'd most likely schedule the bowling to be at lunch time/early afternoon to allow the sleepy ones to wake up and the drunk ones to sober up and still be back in time for tea later in the afternoon!

Does that sound a decent respite from the hotel for us as a guild activity?


Update:
Ten Pin Bowling is confirmed and booked for 1.00pm on Saturday of the DMR Meet weekend.

There will be a minibus leaving the hotel to take us to the venue which is about 10 minutes from the hotel.
Cost is £10 per person.
Estimated to take 2 hours.
Minibus will do the return trip for us too.
The lanes booked can take up to 24 people and we will confirm numbers nearer the time.

We'll try to sort a prize for the best score!

I saw it, and spiritus told me that he asked you to put me on the list as we all come in at the same time. How expensive is a cab from Heathrow and can we pay by euro now ;)

About £180 if you get a people carrier to get you all in.  However, I am working on a cunning plan, give me a bit of time as I might be able to get the transport to and from Heathrow sorted.

Im still planning for this and may be able to pick 3 up...its an out of way journey for me but willl be worth it,will update as i can

PLEASE POST HERE TO CONFIRM YOUR INTENTION TO COME BOWLING
(or you'll be all alone at the hotel as the LAN attendees will be in mid-competition at that point)
