With the new threat changes I'm sitting at 1.2% hit and 11 expertise. I've already reforged away, so it won't go any lower unless I start tank gear with dps/pvp pieces without +hit or +exp.
Whitey was nearly +exp capped and had double the hit but still I was pulling aggro so damn easily.

I swear I spent more time watching agro when being OT rather than my own health pool, debuffs, position, etc.
I commented on the new thread over at pwnwear DK tank forums.

I'm actually sitting at 24 expertise as I get the +10 from Seal of Truth which was active all night.  I also tried using my hit trinket for a couple of tries which had me at nearly 5% hit and 24 expertise but it seemed to make no difference.

I've been doing some reading and found an interresting post that could explain the issue.  Our main threat mechanic is now vengance and vengance is applied when you take hits.  I'm currently sitting just under the combat table coverage cap at 100.7 (cap is 102.4) which means I'm not getting hit much and possibly not getting the full affect of vengance.  What combat table coverage are you currently sitting at Twisted?

You kidding me bro?

CTC = Dodge % + Parry % + Block % +5 %

Me = 14.53% + 15.35% + 0% + 5% == 34.88%
You = 12.54% + 13.76% + 68.78% + 5% == 100.08%

At best I can re-gem and re-forge to around 40%, ie change to an avoidance tank (currently a mastery tank) which means fights become more RNG based.

I'm not saying it's the answer but it's the only explanation I can think of that makes any sense.

The big issue is that I need to maintain my debuffs on the boss AND buffs on myself. All this involves hitting the boss :)
Now, I don't want to change presence (like say to frost) because that will loose all my runic power. Also when I change back to blood. And I need runic power for rune strike which helps me regen runes faster to keep my buffs/debuffs up.

So I guess one solution (as pointed out on the DK tank forums) is to manually remove the vengeance aura. I think we'll have to give that a go once I've lost agro.
But anything you can do to pull more threat would be nice - maybe more hits with the sword!

I'm not planning on losing a whole stack of avoidance/mitigation to get hit capped and going up to 4% hit made little/no difference (I also want to monitor the vengeance tonight without me making any changes). We'll just have to see how removing the vengeance buff works out.  A presence dance seems the best option to dump threat as you will straight away lose the 500% threat buff but I can see why you don't want to do this (although by the time you'd be tanking again you'd have time to build up runic power).

I meant anything you could change in your priority/rotation to boost threat. I don't play pala, nor know what WoG is, but apparently it no longer generates threat since 4.1. There was an old thread on the us.battle.net forums where a palla had the same issue as here and had to change his rotation.

The rotation itself is maximising threat tbh.  Just like your own, it's a prio rotation and you do what you have to do and fit the rest in when you can.  I doubt any of our tanks are not trying to maximise threat given the threat-whore shadow priest they have to deal with! :P

My take on this Twisted is that it is a Blizz problem, they (again) got the class balance wrong when they changed the threat mechanics - expect a hot-fix for it soon is my opinion.

I haven't use WoG as part of my standard rotation since they nerfed the use of it and I use the highest threat abilities as standard and to maximise the use of the 2 piece bonus.  I think TL is right on this, it's a Blizz issue that should be resolved (soon I hope)

People are now posting with a similar issue, mainly with Paladin tanks. Currently, one viable option (for DK's, not us) is to go with a warrior tank for intervene.

I'm not holding my breath for a quick fix .... DK tanking on Nef (DS agroing the adds via self heal threat) wasn't addressed until we had shortly started hardmodes.
