Oldboy - the Hollywood remake

Just seen that the Korean classic is going to be stolen by Hollywood with Christian Bale as the star. Its going to be out in 2012.

The original is a pretty awesome film (its in my top 50 for sure), lets hope hollywood doesn't mess it up as epically as they have with other Asian classics.

It really annoys remaking films that don't need to.   For example

The girl with the dragon tattoo.

My biggest example of that was 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'.   A simply horrible remake.
