Antics on BF3 server tonight

Guys,

A few of our registered members has a bad time tonight. If anyone is aware of what went down can you please post it here?

Tutonic, DrunkenZombiee, Naldo, Varg, Snokio were all involved.

Hi Ninj, i was on from around 6.30pm - 9pm and this seems to have kicked off just as i was leaving. I wasn't in the game but had Procon running and tried putting YELL messages out but that doesn't appear to be working, i asked who was spawn raping onto the carrier and kicked two of the public's who was doing most of this before leaving to pick the kids up. The rest i only know of from the ranting in the forum i read this morning.

Wasn't in game myself, but whatever went on seems to have caused hissy fits and tears a plenty.

From what i have seen on our server the main bone of contention are the Rush maps.  Several have extremely bad choke points and others have very open starting spawns for the attackers (the two carrier maps are a good example).

Perhaps until everyone gets used to what they are doing we could reduce the number of Rush maps in the rotation and try to avoid the more troublesome for now?

I hope I'm not butting in where I'm not wanted but if you look at the thread and extrapolate out the germane facts from the toys-out-of-the-pram comments it seems to boil down to:

1. Should FF on or off. If put on would it help solve the mortaring?
2. What is the right number players for the server. 64 is way too many.... Does 42 work or should it be reduced further to even 32?
3. How do you stop the spawncamping (BIG ban hammer would be my answer!)
4. How do you ensure teams are balanced (that's the job of EVERY dMw'er on there)
5. How to promote teamwork (that's the job of EVERY dMw'er on there)
5. Are there enough Admins available to sort it out and if not what contingencies can be put in place.

I can't offer any solutions I'm afraid and I know Procon is not great but TL, myself and the rest of the Council are here to help and support you in any way we can :thumbsup2:

Thanks for the input guys.

With respect to the map rotation, I think there's a couple on rush that we should defo take out. I'm removing Operation Metro and Siene Crossing Rush maps forthwith.

Guys,

In addition.. Can I kindly request that we police the server with a firm hand at the moment. It's extremely popular and a completely different type of game than BC2. Please let's keep the best interests of the community (and it's standards in mind).
