I use one, currently playing Rage on my xbox with a Nostro and Logitech G500.

The tech is interesting in itself and worth a read.

If I can I'll bring it to the next lan.

I think this is somewhere the gaming community is going.

What i'd like to see in the new xbox and due to popularity of xim3 it might become true is the ability to use mice and keyboards as standard in the console.

As I wouldn't buy it and then buy an unofficial addon as thats a large added cost.

I am a pc gamer at heart but with the industry shifting towards consoles and continuing to bring their games out first I can see us having a lan full of xboxs.

Sorry I said it :P

I have helped to organise console lans and they are not as much fun. Console gamers trend to be a but less friendly and mature when compared to   PC gamers.

Only problem with this is that the people with mouse and keyboard would have a HUGE advantage over players with controllers (unless they can just seperate them). I picked up my Mouse and Keyboard at PC world with a voucher in London

Well to my mind it is "you play with the pad, you die with the pad" :)

I don't think it's that much of an advantage, I get my backside handed to me by pad players all the time (probably old age :) ).

On a technical level you can't do anything outside the range of a pad and the game mechanics. For example, Halo has a very slow turn speed, I can't move my cross-hair any quicker then someone with a pad. You actually need a wired 360 controller to pass the signals to the xbox.

As for separating kb/m and pad, it's not possible to do this as everything goes through a pad. I doubt game makers will create separate lobbies as the market for this device is small in comparison to pads.

For me, the fact I choose to use a device that lets me use my arm/hand/fingers for better accuracy is no different to someone buying a big tv (low latency), surround sound or using a superior isp.
