Motherboard woes?

Right, I've got an asus rog striker forumula 2 mobo and it seems it's getting buggered up.

Issue:

Ram beeps when all 4 dimm slots are populated.  All dimms work fine by their own and when 3 slots are populated.  Once the 3rd slot (any slot, all seem to be working fine) is populated, ram beeps again.

Bios is the latest revision.  Cmos has been reset multiple times. Last time this issue popped up, I just re-seated the dimms and everything worked fine.

Memory controller?

Any ideas?  I'm very close to using it as a frisbee.

Which memory sticks & speeds are you putting in there?

I've seen an issue similar to this before, the solution was to slightly increase the voltage in the bios to the Northbridge.  Problem is a lot of motherboards call this voltage setting a different thing. Google is your friend.

Vram droop is a common problem for males of his age.  Allegedly, Vramiagra can solve this problem. :getmecoat:

Everything is stock speeds, 800mhz afaik.

Well, that's well within what it can cope with so I'd head towards Lion's suggestion and see if a little boost to either Nbridge or Vram helps.  Domantors I think are guaranteed as much higher than stock vram, so you could up the voltage to check it is not that area that is causing the failure.

Went onto a Chinese site and couldn't understand a word of what was written . Good luck fixing whatever it is needs fixing.

Current: North Bridge Core   1.312 V

Any idea to what sort of voltage it should be upped to?  Never messed around with overclocking :/

It doesn't take much to know if its working. Try 1.35 to start .

There was a 1.36 option, selected and it worked.  Aida64 claiming 1.376V, is that fine?

I think it will be fine. Keep an eye on your temperatures.

NB currently at 72 celsius idle.  Seems it's running quite hot.
SB at 62 - slightly higher than normal.

If you are concerned about the temps you can reduce the voltage,you just need to find the sweet spot.

Can't do that unfortunately, have to select the voltages from the drop down box.

We'll see how it keeps up.

1.36v should be fine on the Northbridge, there's plenty of plenty of people out there running 1.5v on that motherboard and doing fine with decent cooling.  Just keep an eye on the temps as Lion said and make sure the cooling is decent. Northbridge @70 degrees is perfectly happy imo.
