HLSW woes

Something really strange has happened to my HLSW. I think it is connected to the last STEAM update as my HLSW worked great before that. I have the 1.0.0.11 beta version.

When I try to connect to any server via HLSW I get this "Fatal Error"

Could not find filesystem - game is being ran from wrong directory

Then HLSW shuts down.

Anyone have any ideas?  :unsure:

I hve tried using older versions as well but no luck. Cleared the registry also but still the same problem.  :angry:

How very odd i also got hlsw the beta vesion i had it closed when the update was going and started it up it works fine tho, why dont u just reinstall it?

I have reinstalled HLSW, removed all entries from the registry but nada zip nilch nothing helped.

Then I reinstalled steam ... updated steam and CS ... and ... yes it was Steam that was FUBAR ... now HLSW works without any problems at all.  <_<
