Being new to BF3, I would love to hear which gun/accessories you prefer and why?
Do you give time to choosing your uniform/camouflage? Does laser actually work for you or does it reveal your position too much from a far?
etc.

Camo's are currently bugged and reset at the start of each round which is extremely annoying and as such I don't bother with camos at all. I would used laser sights with weapons such as the Ump, Mp7 and perhaps the p90 as a general rule I don't really like the laser sight or the Flash light, I much prefer accessories like the silencers, heavy barrels the IRNV (but thats been nerfed in the most recent patch) holographic sights or the russian equivalent (cant remember the name).

For Tanks I go with the Thermal imaging, canister shot and the reactive armour. For IFVs I go Thermal imaging, Wire guided missiles the reactive armour or the auto loader

The planes and Choppers I can't really comment as I suck in em'!

(but seen as I haven't had to chance to play the most recent patch my info might be out of date)
it\'s not my fault if every one runs into my sights :D:byebye::roflmao:

Haven't had camo reset at round before. Thing is, if you set a camo for american, that doesn't apply to the russians :p
Camo does reset at a full game restart though.. Apparently.

Gearwise I go with whatever's needed for the situation. If you want to pointfarm as quickly as possible, go engineer. Then cling to the G36C like it's the last porn mag in a world gone US Republican..

OK, looks like I need to play much more to even get all these gizmos :-)

I guess I have 3 favorite weapons atm. For close range I use the USAS-12 automatic shotgun with just red dot for now. For medium range G36C always with grip, but I change scope and barrel depending on map. Long range M98B with straight pull bolt and 8x rifle scope. Camo I usually use Spec ops, but occationally switch to ranger if the black uniform would be too visible.

MBT - Reactive armor, thermal optics and canister shell
Attack chopper - Guided rockets, IR flares, heat seekers + auto loader, thermal optics, tv missile

That is basically what I play these days.

i rotate between two diffrent assualt weapons.

If the map is allowing me to keep my distance and "support" my squad so that they can live and push at the opposing force i use the M16 with 6x sniper scope, front grip and Heavy barrel ( switching to silencer if i´m under mortar fire)
And if the map only is short to medium range i usually go with the AN-94 with 4x acog, grip and heavy barrel.

Support class = M249, Canadian 3x!? zoom, grip and extended mag.

Sniper class = M40, 12x balistic, straight pull bolt, none.

Thats how i roll.
