Guys,

In order to attempt to combat the imbalance issues in the server I've made a wee change but I'd like to ask for your help as well.

I've increased the imbalance to 2. That means until the server is out of balance by 3, the server won't force people to move.

The reason I've done this is to allow the admins and yourselves to swap teams when the server is unbalanced due to rank / experience. There's a number of the regulars that have done a brilliant job in ranking up but the challenge with that is that when there's five or six that are rank 35 and above on the same side, it becomes a slaughter.

With this change in balance I'd like you to consider policing yourself and balancing the server when the teams are rank-stacked.

This excludes completely Friday nights when it's dMw vs. The World.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you. If there was a "like" button here I would have pressed it :-)

We just got our asses kicked by over 400 (!) tickets difference. The most common sentence on the radio was: "the enemy has all positions".
So what good is it that we believe in a fair and balance game, when no dMw moved to our team although I asked for it (nd most of the time we were understaffed)?
Honestly, even on frag hunting servers it is never this one sided... I understand it is much for fun to win all the time, but this is not why I joined dMw 8 years ago...

I was'nt on tonight otherwise I would have even things up, There are admins for each game dMw support but we have to remember that the admins cant be on 24/7, where there no admins at the time you asked?

Procon wasn't taking connections, again, and console didn't work, as usual. Also if you did check the chat at the time I did say all this, and that the server wouldn't let anyone change sides. It was also talked about on TS, which you weren't on.

I am not sure if admins were on or not, but my complaint is not to an admin, rather to our players. There were enough veteran dMws there to know better...

LR.

Thank you for your feedback and constructive comments in this thread.

It is important for members to voice their thoughts in a constructive and honest way.

It would appear that there were problems with the RCON tool that limited the admin's ability to manage the server yesterday. Hopefully that is rectified today.

You've become a regular to the server which is good to see. However, what I think is missing from my point of view is the use of comms in TeamSpeak. By getting involved in TS3 conversations, not only can you help out the losing side, you can also appreciate some of the issues that the serer admins are having to deal with.

Using "chat window" messages aren't an effective means of communication. Just ask the Admins when they're handing out warnings, they'd agree that it's not always picked up.

By using TS3, you can work better with your clan-mates and get a better result. Also, you can lead by your excellent example by stating "teams look a bit unbalanced, I'm going to move to the other side" and others will follow.

With respect to public for "frag hunting" servers as you describe them, I've been on the receiving end of much worse thrashings. Communications are always the key to success.

I look forward to seeing you in game.

I have to agree on the TS part.

As for myself and i think also for more people is that i don't see / notice the chat going on ingame. But i am on TS and if you are able to talk on TS myself and others can act on that.

Whenever i have tried to swap sides, the option is not available :(, i think because there is even sides in players, it doesn't take score into account IIRC
 Bring on the randomness!
Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

Le Rouge

Good, will do (hopefully still on this PC).

Also nearing the end of a game you are not allowed to swap sides.

I've got to agree with Ninja, Since I started playing with dMw the nights spent on ts have been some of the best gaming sessions I have had for years, not only for the tactical side of things but also just for the fun of gaming with others, there are some great characters.

Last fridays Caspian border, allbeit a bit of a slaughter, was some of the best team based play Ive been involved in, it was a whole new experience to play a large scale war game like bf3 with good comms, i never had the oportunity to play anthing other than WOW or CS:S with a large group, calling for air support on ts and then hearing the chopper coming in 20 seconds later to save the day was brilliant.
