I'm liking some of this guy's stuff, it might even make an appearance on the next DMR video, so it's my 'Track of the Week'!  The Beatport link takes you more into the beats, but the song starts winding up at about 2:20 in the Youtube link and up until about 4:40 is the bit that I rate highly.   I think the beginning and end could have added so much more, but the middle section is gold.

I wonder if a lot of dance music is ever written to be just passively listened to rather than actually danced to? It might just be a happy coincidence that so much of it can be enjoyed reclining in my big swivel chair with the headphones on or in the car etc etc. However I do find that intro's are often the weakest part of a track in this genre and it might well be down to the music being written to dance to first and listen to second?

Great find either way.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Keep in mind that this track is officially labelled 'Trance' which is kinda meant for that scenario!  I always think that you can 'fall into good' dance music, if time seems to pass by without you noticing while you enjoy the music then it has worked, so I guess that passive listening is true in that sense.  However I'd be equally happy in a Club with it.  I guess that's why a lot fo the dance music I like has no lyrics - words distract you from fall into the sea fo music and being carried along by the beat waves.  Surfing for the ears & soul, awesome!
