Video Footage - Video Creation

Hi guys,

Now we have the footage, we need to pull it together to create a promotional video.

I think that TwoBad mentioned that he and Arithon both had some other footage as well. Can you guys let me know how you want to progress?

Does one of you want to vollunteer to put something together? Do you want to send me the info for me to do it?

Sorry Ninj, been either i'll or working so missed your post.

 For some reason whenever i tried to capture i had real bad lag and judder.  Spent about an hour trying to fix it but eventually gave up.  Gonna take another look later today if i find the time.

 So sorry, the only footage i have i complete poo.

 I spoke to Arithon (Monday i think) and he said he'd pm'ed you about some footage he's gathered over a period of time but like me he said he wasn't sure we'd actually did any "proper" capture on the Friday.  As we all stayed on a single TS channel the chat was more fun than tactical.

 I think it would be better to use a rush map as well and use the assault on a single mcon to get the footage.  That way we will only have a few minutes from each person and it will be easier to stitch together than footage from ppl which is spread over an entire evening with different maps.

No worries guys. TBH my footage is the same. Arithon, what are you using? I've tried frapps but tbh I'm not overjoyed with the quality.

A lot of Fraps quality is about the settings you use and the source machine.

For example, this is a video I did for DMR:

Fraps using
-in-game settings @ 1920x1200
-30fps
-Half-size
-Record Win 7 sound
-Record external input (added teamspeak)
-Stereo
-Hide mouse cursor in video

These settings allowed a 1080 Youtube playback and the quality seemed pretty decent to me.  Are you using different settings or is the youtube link of the same quality as you are seeing?

Did we manage to progress this at all?  We've got a channel up and running with content, we'd love to add some BF3 to it!
