Quote6. Bombsite Defense
When a bombsite is being attacked then CTs can call for backup. The team members guarding the other unattacked bombsite can then use all available routes to flank the attackers as necessary. However, you should remember that the attack could be a decoy, so don't be too quick to rush to the other bombsite! As the primary CT goal is bombsite protection you will understand that an immediate attempt to flank is not allowed.

Could someone clear this up please - a little ambiguous ?  I thought the rule always used to be that limits were in place till the bomb was planted ?  Has it changed or is this mis-written ?
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

Dr Sadako

It means that you can flank even though the bomb hasn't been planted. It also means you are allowed to 'flank' to move in for defence of a downed bomb.

ooohhh, that's gonna take some policing.

I'm sure we are all grown up enough to manage it. Next time someone calls bomb mistakenly in the house on inferno and everyone goes rushing straight across from the other site.

'You can't rush across'
'Someone called the bomb in the house'
'oh - it wasn;t there'
'sorry thought I saw it'

I'm not sure I like the revision to this rule as a successful decoy will effectively open up the map limits. I'd prefer the "old" way when you could only break the map boundaries if the bomb was planted or dropped.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

But it will require the regulars/veterans to teach the new guys the fine art of judgement and patience.    :D

Correction:  TCS has no *written* map limits.......it removes the emphasis from the policing of an artifical map boundary and replaces it with an emphasis on self-regulation.  But the police wait nearby, watching their CCTV monitors with interest.......

Set a good example, others will follow suit.

More importantly, a game with no detailed and complex rules or map limits suddenly becomes more interesting to the potential new TCS player.  They can learn from the experienced members......
