Are you applying for a Raider position, or Social membership?
Raider position, hopefully.  But if you don’t have room for me or any of my alts (see below) I’d still like to apply as a social member.

Tell us a bit about yourself! Who are you? Where are you from? How old are you? What kind of work do you do?
Well, my name is Neasa and I’m a girl from Ireland :) I’m 24 and I am currently working in I.T.

Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.
I like WoW for the social aspect, because I like to talk to other people while I’m playing. I do like other RPG games, and I have taken a break every now and then, but I always come back for more!  Personality-wise, I’m talkative, easy-going, friendly and patient and I'm usually very cheerful, even first thing in the morning.

How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
Does Tetris count? I’ve loved Tetris and Mario on the GameBoy ever since I was little :) I was introduced to WoW about 7 years ago and I’ve played ever since on various different classes.  I’ve played Dragon Age II and I’ve also played a bit of the newest Final Fantasy on the PS3, but I definitely prefer PC gaming.
 
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
Well, I’ve been looking to apply to a different guild for a while and I saw that you guys were recruiting, so I decided to have a look and liked what I saw and thought that I would fit in well with they way DMR works.

What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
My current guild is a social guild that are not overly focused on end-game raiding, so I’m looking for somewhere I can raid a little more seriously (hopefully!).  I haven’t been in many guilds (I think maybe 3 or 4 over my WoW-life).

Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
No-one yet, but I’m looking forward to meeting everyone.

Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
Yes I have read them both and you guys are exactly what I was looking for in a guild :D Camaraderie and society being prioritised, but still kicking dragon *ss (tail?)

What do you look for in a guild?
First and foremost, nice people.  As long as the people are friendly, then that’s the most important part.  I’d prefer a more adult guild and raiding, but those are secondary for me.

Do you actively play any alts that we could find you on in case we need to contact you?
Oh dear... Yes I have 7 85s that I’m always switching between, as well as an alt I’m currently levelling.. Armory link spam inc..

''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?
The word "inexorable".  Not giving up!  Knowing that there may or may not be wipes, but having the patience and determination to keep going.

What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you?
I’d like to be part of a well oiled machine downing bosses left right and centre ^^ I’d like others to know me as someone who’s always willing to help out when it’s needed, but also as someone who brings something useful to the raid group.

Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.
Ah this is such a hard question! There are lots of little bits and pieces of WoW that I don’t like, but they really aren’t bad enough for me to *really* dislike them.  I don’t like the design of some of the new tier pieces and I don’t like the long dungeon queue waits... But no matter what WoW does to me, we always make up in the end.

A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
Well I’d whisper them and try to explain to them that what they’d said was offensive and why and if they continued to offend me, I’d raise it with the upper echelons.  But to be honest, I’m pretty easy going and it’s kind of hard to really offend me.

Which evenings of the week are you available to raid?
Any evening other than Thursday

Can you and will you speak actively with other guild members on Teamspeak and in guild chat?
Most certainly! You may find that you’ll want me to stop talking...

Do you have a stable internet connection?
Yes, I’ve very rarely had any problems with DCs on my current connection.

What sort of frame rates do you get when raiding?
Not sure exactly, but again, I’ve never had any problems with my connection.  I’d usually be somewhere between 15-20fps and 30-ish ms.

What kind of raiding experience do you have?
I used to heal Naxx and Kara on my priest back in the olden days and I’ve dpsed in BWD and DS.  I’m probably not the most experienced raider to apply, but I’m very willing to learn :)

Why did you decide to play this class?
For the following questions, I’m going to assume we’re talking about the warrior (cause she’s my favourite!)  I wanted to play a warrior because I’d been playing something ranged and squishy for so long that I needed a change and to vent some RAAAAAGE!!

What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
As fury, DPS.  To pound enemies into the ground with my big giant axe and sword, interrupting where possible, if required.

Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)  
I chose TG Fury particularly because I really liked the idea of dual wielding big whopper two-handers!  I levelled up as Fury and I just loved it and never really thought of changing.  I’ve seen Arms builds that do equally as much damage, if not more, but I love my rage-machine and I’m comfortable with the rotation and the style by now.

Neasa, the Officers have decided that we're full on melee DPS in the raid groups at the moment, but we'd be happy to welcome you onboard as a social member for the time being if that's what you would like.   Obviously if a raid spot opened up for melee dps you'd be welcome to apply from within the guild.

If you'd like a Social Member spot then please whisper an officer when online next and we'll get you invited to the guild and given some forum access to the Members Only section.
