I'm in it for me

I saw a comment & attitude in gchat today which I would seriously like to nip in the bud.

Avser:  any of you want to do a HM?
Twyster: im pvping to get pvp gear.  hm's don't do anything for me right now

It's *way* too easy to get into loot-whore mode and only do stuff to help other guildies out when it has a direct benefit to you.   And it's really nasty to see the greed come out in a statement like the above.   If you see stuff like this I hope you pass comment on it in gchat to make sure that people know that it is *not* ok to 'only do HM's when your own toon needs loot'.  Twisted had a very small amount of loot-whore in him in WoW and I'd like to see it stamped out in SWTOR.  

I made a point of responding to gchat and pointing out that whilst it might not help him, it might help his guild mate, who in turn might then help the guild move to Nightmare modes, which in turn might help Twisted.   He then offered to tank or heal for Avser.

Let's keep this guild helpful & supportive please, be proactive and stamp on greedy people.  You have permission to use my foot in their arse if your own shoe is not big enough.

I know I'm new to this and more on the receiving end of help than giving at the moment but I'll get there.

I thanked him by PM, but Ice was a star last night. He ran me through all the Heroics on Taris (after ensuring he had changed the loot setting so that it all came my way). In just over an hour or so he had helped me clear 5 heroics 4+ and a couple of others. I levelled up one and a half times that night....

It's *that* kind of support and gamesmanship that makes me really want to get to level 50 and run with the pack. It was totally selfless and got a big tick in my book.

Thanks for stepping in on that TL, agree this is something that I do not want at all, if we can all work together we can hopefully stamp this out.
