Is the amount of extra revenue the government's just made in fuel duty, just before the end of financial year. Conspiracy theory anyone?

I'd like to thank my fellow Britain's for panic buying and following the herd like every other scandal. It's disgraceful that we are still manipulated and fall for the tosh every time. I've ranted about the media before and this is slightly different, but it's all about a little misplaced knowledge and the docile flocks jumping at the chance for a quick panic.

If you haven't read http://www.amazon.co.uk/Scared-Death-Global-Warming-Costing/dp/0826486142 then may I recommend it.

I'd also like to thank the Spanish for striking 1 day before I fly to Spain. Tossers.

I'll be off to the petrol station tomorrow with my 5 litre can, but that's because I want to fire up the garden equipment this weekend.
it's ****ing ********, all of it. 14 days. Hateful tossing **** bags.
What's more annoying is that every country is run by the media and the scum spreading members of
****ant
parliament or equivalents.

I appear to be somewhat riled. Maybe I'm getting old.

Pretty close to having no fuel at the stations near me now, not long back from getting fuel as the amber light was about to come on.

Btw, have i told you about my magic beans, they bring good fortune to any who possess them, but not got many left! First come first serve basis, there is a worldwide shortage

Picked up our new car on Wednesday. Filled up the tank with no problems. £46 with just two bars left on the tank. Now we don't have to worry about filling up again for another 600-700 miles :D Hybrids are the future :D Zero car tax, Zero Congestion Charge and fantastic fuel economy! Wonder how long it'll be before they start introducing toll roads as more and more people switch to cars that don't require any car tax.

actually it's got plenty of grunt. 1.8L engine, 10s 0-60 and is surprisingly nippy. It's basically a big computer on wheels and appeals to the geek in me. Though it's the wife that drives it mostly, I do get to play sometimes! Besides, there is nowhere to really put your foot down around here anymore anyway as the roads are so full of traffic it's getting silly!

Not to mention they left the comments section open for additional panic/flaming/people spouting nonsense

Cheapest way to travel I say.

Seriously, I have far too many friends who give me strange looks when I talk about using buses and trains. One friend I worked with in London recently drove in, paid the fuel, the congestion charge and £36 for a days NCP parking and thought nothing of it. i paid £8.40 return, beat him into the West End by an hour and red the entire Metro from cover to cover in the process. I think the old crappy underground we used to have has put so many people off using it that it's just not seen as an option by too many people. It's not perfect and the rush hour can be unpleasant if you don't get a seat but the view is always nice.... have you seen what they let female office workers wear to work when the sun comes out :dribble:

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

tbh sheep will be sheep and follow the flock.... media coverage and the Gov are all liars and cheats...
Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to use earplugs?

have the robbing feckers put the prices up yet as that happened with the last strike thing around 2000, all the little independent guys didn't get any business till most of the big guys had run dry, so the indies put there prices up.

Plenty of fuel in gib, UL is 1.03 a litre and dielsel 1.02, any one want some, but be quick as i haven't many empty coke bottles left

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Slimy politicians manipulating the public to score points, what a surprise.

I was in Seville on Thursday, the crowds of striking workers were massive. Our flight was one of the only ones not to get cancelled, I think we got lucky...

I have to say, I'd happily go for a hybrid for the fuel economy alone.

It is fantastic. Filled up yesterday after a weekend of driving everywhere and just having around 1/4 of a tank left.... £41 :D We're still getting used to it as you do need to think ahead more to get the best fuel economy but my wifes 12 mile run to work she gets around 77mpg.  There is a lot of downhill that helps that but the run home is around 62mpg so for a large family car, that's fantastic :)
