12th of April - 16 man Denova operation

Because of role balance neither Blue or Red group could do Denova on Thursday so while it still isn't optimal group balance, we will be doing it 16man.
We will start in 8 man groups for Blue group to finish Karagga's Palace. Red group will go NMM EV in the mean time.

I am still at work, so I will be updating this with some more info and posting tactics for the first boss in Denova in the Compendium later.

Please make sure that you have logged into the game, patched and set up talents and UI well before raid time. You don't have to be online until 10 minutes before raid start but you should be ready with Talents and UI at that time.

we will be trying out the combat log feature. It will not be required for this raid but I hope as many as possible can set this up before the raid.
I will be updating this post after some testing but I will most likely want to use Mox raid meter.

Lastly I am not sure if this is a standard part of the UI or has to be shown but Everyone should have enabled both Target of Target and Range to Target.

One of the tanks will need to respec DPS, try to organize that between you. I would prefer the best geared tanks to be tanks, but not if the last one has horrible DPS gear.

Uhm, as much as I've been put up as a DPS, I've stated to a few officers before that, with 1.2 coming, I wanted to go tank on my Juggernaut. I still have my Assassin that can be used as a melee DPS, but I want my Juggernaut to turn tank, as it has been fixed. Other than that, THIS IS AWESOME!

This is just a merging of the 2 groups that were already planned for the 12th and while i can't say for certain why it was that you weren't on the 8man list I am assuming it is the same reason as any other rotation, you have been in runs lately and haven't been rotated in a while.

As for Krek'la, I know you want to change to tank and we have always considered you a tank but we only have 8 or 9 active players in red group at the moment and we need 2 tanks for a run, this means that 1 or 2 tanks have to respec DPS to get a group together. While I am not sure about the gear level of the other tanks, I know you have good DPS gear, I could have added you to the tanks list and said 2 of you need to respec but with the gear requirements of the new operation you would almost always be the best choice for DPS based on gear and knowledge of that role.

Well, my tank gear isn't so different I believe. I have 2 Rakata, and rest Columni on tank. Same on DPS. So, I'll have to come in DPS spec for sure tomorrow?

Your tank gear is most likely similar or slightly behind the rest, but you are far ahead of others in DPS gear. Icehawk has almost no DPS gear except PvP gear, Imhotep and Lurek might be closing in on you in DPS gear but they still have worse gear then you for DPS. It has more to do with who has DPS gear then who has Tank gear.

Icehawk is almost guaranteed to be Tank for that reason and that Blue group will need 1 tank for the first part of the raid. I don't really care that much who of you 3 comes as tank but only 1 of the red group tanks can come as Tank spec.

We have taken it into account mate. We will have you tanking on a more regular basis once things go back to "normal"

Can I just say it is a relief to come to these forums from the SWTOR ones where all the pvp nerds are in full unsubbing rage because of being denied their ranked wz's for a little while longer.

glad there are those of us who can willingly enjoy the game on the PvE side of things.

Also my republic guild planned a Denova raid to at 7.  What I will do is (i know they will hate me for it as I am their 2nd healer with almost full columi gear) is ask if i we can rearrange it to friday or whatnot.  I know my mate who I talk to in real life will truly hate me for it but alas.  I'll try n get something worked out with them if possible.  On the other hand say this goes balls up after a good amount of tries, I'll see if they feel like rearranging the raid until later in the evening as i think most of them will still be on.

Krekla since u got most DPS gear i believe (unsure of grimnar  who is still getting columi and Lurek) but for the attempt of it plz just go dps for this run? I'll buy you ice-cream.
