I'm looking to increase my free Dropbox storage limit so am on the lookout for anyone who wants to open a Dropbox account to get their own free online storage space and also to boost by own storage through the referral bonus.

If you don't have Dropbox yet and want some free online storage, please click on the link below and sign up & install Dropbox.  I get an extra 500MB for each referral, so thanks in advance!

Without wishing to pinch TL's referrals, use his link to sign up, I'd recommend Dropbox over any other on line storage service at the moment. There's Google Drive, Microsofts Skydrive etc etc but each one falls short of Dropbox in some crucial way, Although Skydrive offers lots of space it limits the maximum individual file size and is Windows only, Gdrive doesn't work with Linux or integrate into the windows desktop quite as well as Dropbox. Ubuntu Linux also offer storage for Ubuntu systems. They do provide a windows client but it's not a solid option as their Windows app is buggy and falls over quite a lot.

But mainly get Dropbox as it's the small independent offer (although I read somewhere it's been valued as $1 billion!) Dropbox started up and got popular because it offered users what they wanted before share holders, innovated, listened and did things right. Yes one day someone may buy it up and ruin it, but right now it's the place I'm happy to keep my stuff. Also it's dMw's storage option of choice. Many of us use it and it's a great way to collaborate and share stuff. Chances are if someone is going to try to send you a 'too big for email' item, such as a map, game patch etc etc they'll do it through Dropbox.

Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, IOS, Blackberry Dropbox does it all.

(end of advertsiment..... can I have my £5 now) :)

Also extra free space it seems if you complete this challenge:

I'm somehow on 23.25gb free. Not quite sure how but I do seem to recall phoning them about something once and some chap giving me a free boost.

Yup, and don't forget if you have a recent phone like the HTC One X or Galaxy S3 bump your dropbox storage to 50GB. Well worth putting the app on your phone.
