MoP Launch Date

This will no doubt become a hot topic over the next few weeks so here's a thread for it.

Blizzard said they do not want us to have the same content for a 12 month period.
The MoP team have just started reworking the Jaded Forest (a MoP starting zone).
We've seen no PTR L90 templates yet for raid testing.
Dragon Soul is now 8 months old.

To my mind, this pretty much rules out August.
September will bring the 10th month for DS.
Given the current development stage of the beta I'd suggest that early September will be a stretch for Blizzard given holiday periods etc.
November would get too close to breaching their stated 'not 12 months' goal.
So that brings us to a slightly unlikely back-half of September launch, or an October launch.

My money is still on the 1-15th October, somewhere in that window.

Yea i think that MoP will be launched somewhere in October. Was talking about that with a friend.
But i think that it will be in the 2nd part of October. Don't ask me why but i got a good feeling about that

When does the next PvP season end? That's normally an indicator for new content/expansion.

Once scheduled server maintenance is completed during the week of July 17, the "Power of the Aspects" spell will grow more powerful, reducing the health and damage dealt of all enemies in the Dragon Soul raid by 30%. This spell has grown progressively stronger over time to reduce difficulty and make the encounters more accessible. The spell will affect both normal and Heroic difficulties. It will not affect the Raid Finder difficulty.

If you don’t need the help of the Dragon Aspects, the spell can be disabled by talking to Lord Afrasastrasz at the beginning of Dragon Soul.

We hope you continue to enjoy Dragon Soul, and that these changes encourage you to attempt a higher difficulty, or just keep pushing to take down that next boss.

Yeh, I think a part of the attendance issue might be this aswell. Just checked my armory, and I killed Morchok normal the first time 30. November 2011... Thats a loong time ago. To face the same mechanics (and add a couple for Heroic encounters) might not be as motivating as it once was. I only got my HC madness kill a couple of weeks ago, but its still ... almost a year, blizz! :ranting2:

Not far off, my firend. Confirmed release date is 25th of September 2012. Cant wait to dig into some new content. Just pre-ordered.

Im not sure what i want to do tbh....I fancy being 1st in guild,again. Though id really like to get a realm 1st...Herbing with the dr00d is great, you never break flight form so you can gather quicker. Spec b00mkin...if you aggro use knock back,herb,shadowmeld then fly off :flirty:
As its a midnight launch and its digital download im presuming you will have to log out at midnight as we did with Cata. My plan was to go farm cata herbs for an hour or so to let the que's die down then venture into MoP and just farm herbs.
Still undecided though
