Serious....Star Wars!!!!

Hey all,

Whilst clearing out my collection of obsolete tech and games I came across my original MMORPG that started me on my crazy Gaming days, Star Wars Galaxies.

Some members of DMW did at a time play the game (in the days before WoW) and for a time it was a brillaint game, anyway after finding my game i figured id see if the servers etc where still active etc just for nostalgia's sake, sadly they where shud down in the back end of 2011 but whilst looking for the information I came across a Thesis/Final year university disertation written by a sociology student based on the social component of the game, that after reading, I thought was worth sharing with the rest of DWM simple due to its interest and unbiased writting due to the individual actually playing the game whilst writing the thesis.

Of all the game papers ive read or videos or documentarys claiming to understand the MMO society in games I'd say this paper is one of the closest ive read that is practically unbiased, Im sure we all remember "The Raid" which made us all out to be Darkness Dwelling anti social creatures who only appear to rage at our screens or request Pop tarts heh
