CSGO Phantom Footsteps

BUG............

Afternoon, just an head's up...I know that Blunt and Doorman have heard these, on several maps, in particular on Office. While in the lower region of the long corridor, I could hear running footsteps, seemed to be coming from the other side of wall. Checked that part of map, nothing. I was only CT left and Tox was the only T, he was camped in with the hossies (I discovered later, as he blew my head off). So, ghosts in the office?

Anyhoo, it seems it's not just me as I've browsed lots of forum comments, looks like a bug that they haven't fixed as yet. See here:

I get this on all maps, it drives me nuts. What's even worse is that it sometimes stops and starts so you can't be sure if it's a real person or not. :doh:

I think it's actually your own footsteps but they sound kinda weird as if from further away, it has happened a couple of times caused me to pause and listen but It doesn't overly bother me.

Nope, these footsteps are running even when you are still.
They are proper phantom, as there is actually no-one making them.
The footstep sound doesn't move about, it's like someone is running against an object.

It's in my head too. I was saying to Pete or Declan "He's on my left, just about to come round the corner". We waited...and waited. Still the footsteps came. I was scared, I'm telling you!
