Buy Ubisoft once, shame on them, buy Ubisoft ever again, shame on you!

Following my own personal rogering from Ubisoft, buying Arse Creed II and being unable to play it due to UbiSoft.com being down 50%+ of the time, I had to laugh (in a knowing, bitter and sarcastic fashion) when I read this post on PC Gamer about their latest PC offering, "Rocksmith".

That's what I call Digital Rights Management. Don't give the customer ANY...

A very disappointed Lionheart had to deal with this on Sunday morning when his copy arrived sans authorisation code. Nice one Ubisoft...

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Indeed. Only just got my code today after having to send them scans of invoice etc. Right pain.

I too had this problem and got my code from Ubisoft on Saturday. All is forgiven, however, since I bought it through Amazon and also complained to them, and have just received a 2nd Steam key which I can now go and sell. :)

Any takers?

:) On topic, this is naf, but it doesn't really reflect on Ubisoft as an 'evil' company. Sure, their DRM in the past has done that for them, and no doubt will continue to do so, but this event is really just a monumental mess up somewhere on the line. Not the same sorta thing. Yes its their fault, and they now have to fix it. But, stuff happens. Funny stuff (unless you were involved!)

I pre-ordered with Amazon and they sent me a code as well .  Nice.
