In-game nick fixed:

I finally managed to change my Origin ID. It now matches my nick here in the forums; CoolHand_NO (the _NO is to indicate I'm from Norway, since the CoolHand nick was  not available). You'll recognize me (through the crosshairs) though :D  I'll use the CoolHand_NO in teamspeak too, so it should be easy to spot (and shoot?) me

dMw tag:

WHen playing, do any of you use the dMw tag? I remember earlier times, you had to earn the right to use that tag. Is this still on?

If not, how do we actually know who is member of dMw when playing....?

Battlehome (BF3 profile page), dMw tag:

In Battlehome, in profiles, there is an option to write the tag of the clan you're playing with. Is this OK, or do I need to earn this too.....?

BrotherTobious

You have to earn the tag for both mate, once you are badge then you use tags.  For both mate hope that helps.  And welcome back to the fold :)

See you on the server soon!

EDIT

Disregard the posting below - I have done the right thing and PMd an administrator.

So, to make this on-topic againg: TONIGHT I am going to KICK SOME appels on the server. Ahem. Or at least give it a try. I have the teamspeak set up, I'm all ready and geared.

I try to play teambased. Even if noone tells me to, I'll try to backup my squad mates, lay down suppressing fire, checing those corners, etc.

If nothing else, I am damned good cannon fodder (well, someone has to do the job)

EDIT FINISHED

Ahm... can I ask just one question (this IS a bit offtopic - admin, please forgive).

Bakc in the day (around 2005) I earned the privilege to use -=[dMw]=- p in my signature and in the in-game ID in Battlefield 2. Now, I assume that I cannot use this in Battlefield 3. Also, not in my signature here in the forums?

To be quite honest, I am a bit confused. But lets see if I get this right:

1. In BF3, I need to earn the right to use the dMw tag. To do this, I need to have a badge (BF3 player), awarded after a given time and conduct in the game.

Correct?

2. In the forums, can I have the dMw in the signature (since I did have this privilege a looooong time ago, wayyyyy back in 2005) ? Or do I need to re-earn this privilege ?

3. Last, in the Battlehome log, I assume that the use of dMw tag to identify clan belonging corresponds with the privilege of using dMw in the BF3 game.

Sorry, but I got a bit confused. If this question should be asked in another forum, point me, and I'll repost (and delete this one).

Cheers

(to dumb to get the tag rules, but smart enough to point and click in BF3 )

Earn the right to wear the dMw tags from game leaders for that specific game in this case it's Ninja_Freak, Teamwork gets you everywhere show your face on the server (Fridays are a must) and you will get there soon enough.(which you more or less said in point 1).

Not too sure what you mean on point 3 but players who play on the dMw server have been "awarded" the bf3 badge thus wearing the dMw tag.

Point 2 I'm not too sure about either.

EDIT: Fimilarise yourself with the bf3 server rules & dMw way.

I can't see a problem with using dMw in a sig file for anyone who is an active member of the community and the forum. If the sig file is specific to a game for which you don't yet have the right to use the tag I think it would be best (and polite) not to use it until you get the tag in the game. I.e. Dick Dastardly's sig file is an good example of an OK general forum sig file as it's not specific to a game he doesn't play.

The tag is not a big issue really, we just like players to use the tag on games they actually play within the community. So the easiest way is for the Game Leader to see you in game a few times, playing with your team and being generally polite. You get the green bagde and the -=[dmw]=- for that game together.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Thanx,

I get it :-)
