Hi guys,

I currently run BF3 on one screen.

I do have three of them. Screens I mean. With eyefinity enabled, I think I should be able to run BF3 on a three screen setup. This would give me a very good immerson and a very wide field of view.

BUT, before I do this: Would you guys consider this unfair/cheating in any way (I will be able to se more of the sides, meaning I can spot enemies easier, at least that's what I whink) ???

If so, I will continue to run BF3 on only one screen.

Anyone?

DuVeL

Heck, I'd use all 3 if I had them. I wouldn't consider this cheating, just having a really good setup.

Yeah, my thought too. To use all three. I do use the setup today to have teamspeak on left, BF3 in the middle, and a nice (ahem) picture of a female soldier in "battle" fatigues on my right. :woot2:

I've used the setup in DCS A10, reeeeeally cool!!!

So, If noone screams CHEAT, I'll use three monitors (assuming I get it to work). I'll quit if an admin tells me to.

PS: The other day I wanted a quick fix of BF3. Found a server with some dMw members. Then I had to wait 45 minutes to download some updates, entered the server, deployed, promptly (after 1 second) got killed, and after another (1) second, the match ended. And my team lost! Gives the meaning quick in quick out a new meaning :D

It's not cheating in my book, but I do reserve the right to become insanely jealous and shoot you in the face for it.

Yeah no way it is cheating. Do it and have fun and enjoy :) You can watch yourself getting killed by me tonight in 5760x1080 glory.

I will call you a cheat just for the sake of it don't you worry, I don't think it is cheating I do think however that I'm slightly jealous (git).

Having 3 screens:

- Does a lot for immersion. A lot!!!
- Don't do much for spotting enemies - by the time you spot them in the corner of your eye, they mostly got you nailed down anyway.

Any teenager with the reflexes like a cobra snake would have a good advantage using three screens. Old geezers like me (40ish) only get the immersion factor. Which is quite cool (pun intended, indeed).

DuVeL

You should setup a screen that can watch your back also. Thanks for the dogtags. :flirty:

BTW, pictures of the setup while playing are needed. :taz:

Here it is.

3x22 inch screens, eyefinity (decent agp), Philips headset (very happy with these), Logitech gaming mouse, standard keyboard.

And of course the necessary refreshments to the right in the picture...

Edit: A bit blurry picture, but I think you get the general idea....

DuVeL

To bad they are Heinekenbottles. For the rest a nice setup.

Does the heineken help with the fps?

CoolHand

First of all, I prefer the local beer here in Bergen: Hansa. But Heineken has those 0.65 litre bottles. Saves a lot of time going to the fridge. hmmmm, if I only had a small fridge right next to the computer...

And for the fps, yeah it helps a lot. I notice that after a few beers, the game is very smooth, I see no sudden movements at all..
