de_roadhouse

is it possible to have this back on the servers sometime?

I used to enjoy this map....especially when some1 got stuck in the truck

I wonder if it plays different in TCS.

Amazing that we voted it off in the first place - great map that plays well on TCS or DM

When will we learn people?  Democracy doesn't work ;)
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

I never got to play this map first time round, so I'd like a crack at it. Also, there are 2 maps I've not seen for ages. I forget their names, but they are both hostage rescue, one is set on a dam or power station thingy with 2 outside walkways, one above the other. The other map is in a canyon type thing with the terr's in an underground carpark with a mineshaft and lift between the two. Even if these are gone for good, could someone please remind me of their names just so I can sleep again :)
Just remembered...I've not seen Vertigo for a while either..the map, not the Hitchcock classic :)

Well the first ones's Thunder and I know the second one but can't remember the name.  :D
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

Ugh...i hope it aint siege.    :o

Dr Sadako

Roadhouse is one of those maps that works for a while and then becomes extremely stale and predictable. The reason for it being voted off, as I recall it, was that CTs easily sniped out long tunnel and held the the toilet area making it hard on the Ts. For this map to work well Ts need to play very organised as a team and CTs to not do their job properly. I think we can put it on some night and see how it works but I am not sure it should be in the rotation.

I kinda see what you mean Sadako, but there are 5 ways the T's can go, assuming the CT's don't leave the compound.

Tunnel, toilet door, toilet window, toilet roof(I didn't count that), three sewer exits.
I think organised play would work well, plus the layout stops the current, 'its DE, who gets there first wins' tactics...

But yep, it can go stale.

It might have worked when we had map boundaries. Restricting the CT's from the petrol pump area, would have allowed all those routes in. I think it would be hard to stop CT's going 'outside' in TCS play. By definition it is a sensible defensive tactic to hold that area by the pumps. And therefore as we agree dull to play.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

TeaLeaf

The petrol pump is a bomb site, so that may be difficult to defend if CTs are not allowed there!  The difficulty with roadhouse is that it needs a team of about 6 or 7 to play well.  Any less and the Ts can run riot, any more and the CTs can dominate really easy.  It is an excellent map imo, but the team size has to be right.
