Thank god we have our own CS:GO servers went on two public servers

One for "beginners" but running custom maps and open voice comms so quite hard to concentrate.

The other one allowed teamkillers and no vote kick system in place or admins.

All I was after was a relaxing game of shooting people.....obviously too much to ask, Anyone know of any decent CS:GO servers when ours is empty?

Ours but you get people on it ;)

While we don't use Team Speak for our in game comms it might be an idea to log in there if anyone is playing or available to play CS. As the TS channels are all visible on the forum main page seeing a channel with several people in it immediately suggests there's activity on the specific server. For me it's the main way I see what's going on with games where we don't use in game voice i.e. Arma, CoD, SWTOR, BSGO etc for in game chat. It could serve as good visual clue that there's activity on the server and encourage others to join.

And that is one of the main reasons I log into TS before I join CS (or any other game)
However, as the in-game comms are so good in CS:GO, unlike any CoD game or BF3, I hardly have to use TS.

Unlucky with your server choices DD :(
I'd suggest starting a game on Boomer, (I had people join within seconds of me going on the other day)
But as we don't have any method of restricting weapons atm, it soon turns into an AWP fest.

I do the same, if I fancy a game of something on the old combompter I always look to see who is on TS first and then usually jump into that game, not had a lot of game time recently though but that would always be my first port of call so worth joining

T-Bag

With any other game I use TS, with CS I jump straight in. I have enough of you guys on my steam friends. If I spot a few people playing I just click them and select join game to boot straight into the server. Since the comms are so good and joining is so easy I don't miss teamspeak at all when I play valve games. I appreciate a nudge when people start playing though just in case I've missed it.

As for public servers...CS has never been as bad as CoD, but sometimes you'll be particularly unlucky and wind up with something close you just have to ride the storm and favourite the good ones. If you want to try and get pubbys on our sever you can give me a nudge on steam. If I'm free I'll join you.

I'm a little confused we have two CS:GO servers 1 pw'd & one public? which is which :)

Yep seeing Blunt, Toby and others on the TS channel is a good indicator that something is happening on the server. I don't usually run Steam unless I'm actually playing a Steam game but I'm always checking the forum and so see whose in what channel when I do. It's different I guess if you run Steam friends all the time and have everyone in the dMw community on your list.

I find it easier going by Steam friendlist.

Cheers Blunt.

So I read this thread the other day and thought "I should make more of an effort to idle in TS when playing on our CS server", which I did last night.

It took me nearly an hour to realise that I had bound CTRL as my TS push-to-talk for an Arma session, which also happens to be my crouch key in CS. Thus Blunt was able to spy on my TOP SECRET TACTICS whilst crouching all night :(
