Been playing a bit more and there do seem to be a number of extra missions that can give you access to items you wouldn't get until much later in the game.

If you look to the left of the screen you have News, Alerts, Operations. In operations you can play in a vs style battle and choose a faction, note the rewards for success, which are often parts needed to build items, found in more advanced systems that are locked. I think you have to wait for the battle to end to get the prizes. I'm waiting for a pair of Orokin Cells to be able to build the Seer Pistol.

We'll see if they arrive.

We have a Dojo!

No it's not a Dodo pronounced with a lisp. Click the circular Icon next to the main blue Online button at the top middle of the screen.

If you're part of DMW, you can enter our own space station and kit it out!

It's a rather interesting idea. Maybe a place to do some training or help people just joining the game.

I'm liking this game, very intense but great fun when there are several of you.

It seems you have to build the clan key first before you can enter the dojo, I'm almost there ....

Added to the Clan and Friends list.

I still have sulky_uk and Jasman21 pending acceptance to the Clan.

Ping me on Friends if you fancy a game, I also have about 8 Orcin Keys for the high yield missions but I need 4 friends to invite before I can play :(

Have added an Oracle room to our dojo so we can research stuff.

I hear there's a trading stall but I've not read if we can give clan members gear for cheap. I'm intrigued about the Oracle.

Lots of good rewards right now. I got nearly 250k credits in 24 hours.

All these operations quests gave me about 500k credits so I'm building the electro whip and the Mega powerful shottie! How's the Oracle looking?

I'm not sure if we did this wrong as all the additional rooms or corridors require energy to sustain and build. I've started building a reactor but with a reactor and an Oracle on each side of themain hall there is no room for expansion I can see. We may have to destroy the Oracle and add a T junction to increase our capacity.

So there is now a cross corridor with a new Oracle being built and also another reactor. I've also ordered a second cross corridor but I don't have a spare Forma to complete the components so if anyone wants to contribute that it'll start building and add extra room capacity.

Not seeing much interest in the last few weeks, c'mon lads, this is a quality co-op game. With lots of nice weapons and characters. We may be able to share parts once the Dojo is up and running with a Trading Post making it easier for everyone to get spare parts.

I see someone contributed the Formas for the Elevator and a few other things that were missing in the Dojo. Thanks. I still think a few more interested parties and participation in TS would make this a great tactical game. What I like is how a mix of Warframes can really make a big difference at the more challenging levels. Say Mag, Frost, Rhino and Loki doing a defence mission or a survival. I played a survival map and the 4 of us kept going for 45 minutes and got over 60 Fusion Cells! Plus loads of XP.

There's a nice mission on now for the next few weeks but I need your help.

In order to achieve maximum success each player must visit Earth and collect the ingredients to craft a Rare Anti-Toxin. You then all meet up in a squad and attempt the mission, everyone applies the AT and defends for a nice healthy battle time and then we get a really nice prize for achieving 100%.

I've been on a team and gotten 25% so far and I still haven't worked out how to craft the AT myself, so some other nice person must have brought one.

It seems like a good team effort.

Any takers? Go out and play the game, craft your Rare Anti-Toxin and post on the forums. You get a gold medal for the Clan as well if we do it all as dMw.

(I'm a persistent git, I will get you playing this game !)

Edit: I have 2 Lapis Anti-Toxins now. I needed the Sunlight Jade.

I need to get one more component and can go for it again. I did it with 3 strangers the other day and it was great fun. Definitely need to take your best Warframe. A Frost or 2 would also help. They throw a load of single hit wielding baddies at you so you have to take them from distance so they don't get a chance to get in close. I have multiple of the other 3 more common components, the Lily in the Sun setting Dragon I think it is I need one more before I can try again.

So this game has lots of quality if you get into it but at the start it is a little bewildering. They have a good Wiki. So here is my list of tips. I'll add to this as I remember more details.

Information Sources:

Wiki: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki
Forum: https://forums.warframe.com/

Starting out:

The game begins with you having to select a Warframe out of a choice of 3.  Excalibur, Loki, or Mag. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Warframes

I went for Loki because you can go invisible and hide. I acquired Mag in the game and it's my fav. Excalibur is a nice balance they say, but I haven't unlocked him yet. (There are male and female Warframes). Check the overviews.

The game Interface:

There are several things going on here and it can be overwhelming.

Planets screen: This is where you join missions, navigation takes a bit of getting used to but is easy enough after some experience.
Arsenal: Your character, weapons selects, everything you need to setup ready to play, upgrade with mods, utilize inventory
Store: Where to shop with credits or platinum
Foundry: Where to build items from blueprints with picked up components
Keys: Clan Dojo key, Orokin Derelict mission keys, Orokin Void Keys - These are the special missions you want to save for a rainy day to do with your mates.

Buying Things:

Credits are the in game fantasy currency. It's available as a pickup through missions you need it to buy blueprints and upgrade with mods but it is in abundance so you just need to be patient and upgrade things as they are needed in game. It's easy to upgrade one thing fast and then be short when you are starting out.

Platinum is the buy it with real cash currency, you get 50 Platinum to start with.

Tip: They do a 50% off deal regularly. I recommend the pack that gives you about 600 Platinum which will see you through a lot of gameplay, I have 450 left of mine after over 100 hours play!

Only spend Platinum on these things:

Expansion slots - Cannot be found in game! for:

Warframes (20 per slot), Weapons (12 for 2 slots) - These allow you to make, and claim new Warframes and Weapons, without a slot you cannot claim and use new gear, unless you sell existing gear which is pointless.

Or Orokin technology - Can be built with blueprints but these have to be awarded in game and cannot be bought for credits - it's debatable if you want to buy them and waste Platinum:

Reactor, to supercharge your Warframe (double mod points!)
Catalyst, to supercharge a Weapon (again double mod points!)
Forma, to build rooms in the Dojo and to Polarize slots on your Warframe or Weapons.
(Tip: Can be confusing....Polarizing basically resets your level to 0 but doubles the mod points for one slot you select only if you allocate a certain polarity of mod to that slot. The polarity is determined by the little symbol at the top right hand corner of a mod card next to the mod level. Match the mod with the slot symbol and you get big benefits and use less mod points. Do not worry about this when you start out!)

Everything else in game you can buy/ craft blueprints for with Credits and build after obtaining the necessary components, don't waste Platinum.

In game:

You have a number of missions available but they all start with the Planets screen. Mercury is your only unlocked system when you start. You click the first available sector and are placed into game with 3 others, with one of your PC's hosting the game.

When you first play the game it's basically a 3rd person shoot em up but through time you realize it's much more.

There are two things that can be smashed or opened for loot:

Storage Cupboards: Press X to open
Lockers: Shoot ro Melee break open

Orbs (found in lockers and after killing baddies):

Red: Health
Blue: Charge for special powers - required to continually use your powers throughout the game
White: XP
Black: Affinity

Spoiler:

Once you start leveling up to lvl 5, there are various key unlocked missions to attempt, best joined through the Chat System in game. I there you can get major rewards and challenges. In some amazing looking maps you don't get in the main game, with a few pretty big bosses.
