/crreeeeekkkk crash *cough* *cough*

Wow this is dusty anyway

Arma III thought I would see if you lot still had access to this area

Also start thinking about how we are going to run this in the coming months till the full release.

First off thanks all of you for saying your help out again nice to have the gang back together.

I think we just sell this game as much as we can over the coming months, maybe the odd vid screen shots, mission write up etc.  Also start pushing people in to leading.

Also I think one of the reasons we burnt out last time was that we were running at 2 official nights a week.  I want to drop this down to one, but not stopping people on the server (when we get one) on the off days.

Would be interested to hear your ideas or thoughts.

Thanks guys

Sunday would be my preference too.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

We used to play Sundays before so it seems like a plan to carry on with that tradition. I guess we'll never find a night that will be best for everyone though so we'll have to just do the best we can.

CS seems to be enjoying it's Monday night but also seems active on other nights as well, which is great. Arma is all about the bigger two hour ten player missions and I know it's that play style that we all love. But we might be able to benefit from having smaller, quicker missions as well. Reserve our official night for the big campaign but also cater for those unofficial times when three or four players jump on TS and decide to fire up a quick Arma mission. If we had missions made for small numbers that take an hour to complete at most it could keep the server ticking along during the week as well. Sometimes I have an hour to kill and can see a few people on Steam or TS. If we played CS we could jump on the server play 2 v 2 for a map cycle or two and log off. But in Arma we would need to give a lot more time and potentially find a more players to get a meaningful game going. having a nice mix of big campaigns and smaller quicker missions would widen the appeal of Arma and let us play it more often. I've played a couple of four player, stealth, night missions on Arma 2 and while they don't have the depth of the big tank, chopper, infantry missions they've been a great way to spend an hour. We're Alpha so it's very early days but it might be worth thinking about as we move forward through beta towards release.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

That's the beauty of the Editor - we can make whatever we feel like playing.

Some 'small unit' scenarios which don't take all night are a good idea, and would probably be pretty easy to put together. There are already loads of missions uploaded to Armaholic, I'll have a browse through at some point and see if there's anything worth trying.
