As stated:

Despite our security measures, we have been working around the clock to mitigate the impact of an ongoing denial-of-service attack on our Battlefield 3 game infrastructure over the last several days. While the motives are unclear, the focus of the attack has been interference with network communications preventing access to multiplayer gameplay. At this point, no user data is involved. We share your frustration about the impact this has had to our service and the ability for many of you to play Battlefield 3. We are working tirelessly to mitigate the problem. As a part of our efforts to resolve these issues, we’ve conducted rolling restarts of Battlefield infrastructure servers to apply some updates. Thank you for your patience and support while we work to get everyone back and playing Battlefield 3 as soon as possible. More updates to come. /DICE Team

Still stuff going after last nights /kick all from EA what happened and tonight we couldn't join again.

Thank you all again for your patience as we continue to work to block the denial-of-service attacks we've experienced over the last few days. We've made some progress and are continuing to make changes that will hopefully mitigate these issues in the future. We'll keep the community posted here as things progress./DICE Team

The ultimate problem is EA's DRM - remove that an the servers run fine.

It's the DOS attack on the EA authentication server that is causing the problems. The hackers don't need to attack a thousand servers, they just block a single IP and every game of BF3 is stalled.

Bad design on their part. Every client PC has to authenticate with EA at game launch. When really the SERVER should authenticate from EA at start and client's should then get an authentication token from their server, but hey, I'm only a professional software developer. What do I know? After all, the process monitor (that logs all EXEs running) in Origin couldn't be enough DRM, could it?

I've just tried the server and it seems to be working again as normal so bring it on tonight!

Mhhhmm, I just came back from King's house and it seems he has the Browser Plugin problem at the moment. Did anyone else have this problem lately? And if so, how did you solve it?
We've tried all the stuff mentioned here allready: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654348070076199/

T
he only thing I could think off is a new install of the game so hopefully that will work.

Hi,

Little Ninja had the same issue on Saturday after the plugin update. We use Eset for internet security. I had to re-edit the rules to add the Origin exe files to the exception list. No problem after that.

Origin appears to be down, hacked or under attack.

BattleLog login fails - my password hasn't changed and Origin App gets "unexpected error - restart Origin"

Always with the hacks on Double XP Weekend.

Without DRM this wouldn't happen.

Just to let you guys know, the server is once again showing with a custom preset, and thus cannot be found in the server browser. This makes it near impossible to seed as people can't find it so can't join...

Thanks by the way. Was trying some settings to inf only. I think turning off the vehicle spawn may have done it. I'll turn it back on later.
